Things to do in Wheaton
It's a very friendly place with excellent food. I love the sachwan tofu the best. The servings are huge for the price. It's so sweet to that all the kids help the parents out there. To see the children so kind and helpful to they're parents reminds me of how kids used to be here ......long ago.

Took my adult daughter for a birthday lunch last week at this venue. Conveniently located in downtown Wheaton, this establishment is the best. Our server was gracious and the inside depicted original Asian culture. We ordered two of the featured appetizers along with two lunches that were the establishment's most favorite dishes. For those of you that go "gluten free"...be happy as this place has a lot of those offerings! Food was delicious and the hospitality equally gracious. We enjoyed a leisure time of talk in a quiet and cozy atmosphere unrushed by the world outside. This is a definite "gem" in Wheaton which is always "full" of eclectic venues. Can't wait to go back!Mary M.Hobart, IN

I am a sushi fan, although, I wouldn't classify myself as an expert or a die hard, but have tried many sushi places. This one didn't grab me, it was average. The service was good and the other menu items we ordered were ok, but the place didn't stick out to me as a place that I would steer anyone away from, nor suggest that is a must visit. The apps were good, the sushi, just ok and the pad thai, the same.Maybe I caught them on an off day.

Japanese sushi Chinese Thai.
Who doesn't love a place that makes kick butt sushi and is a BYOB!? The owner is such a nice guy, cares about his costumers and shows true passion in serving great food! Highly recommend!

Sushi Mono, a fine dining Japanese contemporary restaurant, opened on Chicagoâs birthday March 4th, 2010 in the heart of Downtown Wheaton. We feature both traditional Japanese cuisine such as nigiri and sashimi in addition to a variety of signature blend
We have given this place a couple of tries and I think we are done. This is sub par sushi. They have really nice, eclectic sounding rolls but the execution falls flat. Our sweet potato roll had raw sweet potato in it, made it extremely hard to eat and unappetizing (I have never had it raw anywhere else). The other rolls are just blah. We did a tempura appetizer and the calamari was inedible. It tasted like tempura battered salty water, just awful. There are so many other wonderful placed to eat in Wheaton, skip this place. They also don't have an online reservation system - you have to email them. When I did this I never got a response so when we showed up I wasn't quite sure if we had a table reserved or not. Sort of odd.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of Fu Yuan's entrees. During our recent lunch, we split a large portion of chicken fried rice. The ample portion of chicken was fresh and tasty. This is, for us, a perfect dish. Great flavors cooked perfectly. The edamame was slightly undercooked. You will not be disappointed with this neighborhood spot near downtown. There is no liquor license.

We stopped in for lunch. It is small but cozy. Love the exposed brick walls inside. Had the wonton noodle soup. It were delicious and reasonably priced. Fast service. Delicious!

I'll just admit right up front that I've never even tried anything other than the Pad Thai but I return again and again for that delicious offering. Mai Thai has the best Pad Thai I've ever had anywhere and believe me, I have it a lot. I love that they will adjust the spice level to your personal preference. Be careful though, because their idea of spicy and your idea of spicy can be very different. I love super spicy food but I order my Pad Thai at Mai Thai between mild and medium and it's plenty spicy! I always order extra peanuts and lime slices too. The servings are generous and I can get at least two and sometimes three meals from one order of Pad Thai. My family and friends have tried several dishes here and everyone has been really pleased. My daughter especially likes the Red Curry. We usually do carry-out but you can also order at the counter and eat there if you prefer. It's good authentic Thai food. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful restaurant on the north side of Wheaton. Never having tasted Burmese food before, owner recommended several dishes. All were delicious. Great, friendly service, very reasonably priced. BYOB, no corking fee. If you forget your booze, don't fear, there's a Jewel in the same plaza.
