Inexpensive but very delicious Asian food (mix of Japanese and Chinese dishes). Very vegetarian friendly. I particularly like their peanut-avocado vegetarian sushi roll. They also deliver, we ate in the restaurant one night and ordered in to our nearby hotel another night.
The food here is better than excellent! It's exceptional. So tasty, fresh, really good. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant very clean. This is a small family owned and operated Chinese/Thai restaurant, that just opened at this location this week. The atmosphere is very beautiful and upscale, yet you can go in wearing jeans and feel comfortable. A short walk from RPI and motor vehicles, it is very popular with the students and faculty. I can't wait to go back. Yes, I am a regular here, and you will be too once you taste the food.
At Bespoki Bowl, we're serving up a healthy alternative to todayâs fast food options. Our fresh and delicious Hawaiian-style poke bowls are prepared with superior ingredients and a keen focus on quality and flavor. With so many toppings and house-made sau
We'd heard good buzz about this place, vis-a-vis a glowing (borderline fawning) review in our local newspaper. So we visited with moderate expectations, knowing it was a casual, order-at-the-counter joint. We've always valued food over ambiance. The interior was bright and clean, unfortunately, their counter staff wasn't quite as bright. Out to Lunch is the term that comes to mind. Armed with a rather vacant look, the guy at the counter took our order and informed us he'd call our number when our food was ready. We waited quite a while for the food. Finally, I happened to look at the counter and saw our drinks and one entree just sitting there on the tray, not sure how long it was sitting there but when I asked why he didn't call our number, he mumbled that he was waiting for the rest of the order to be ready!Good thing I swiped the entree, It was lukewarm and would have been cold by the time the other food was ready. As far as the food goes, it ranged from so-so to good. Best item was the popcorn chicken. The wings were not crispy as billed, but that could have had something to do with an eat-in meal being placed in a TAKEOUT container with a lid and steaming up and softening what may have been crispy wings. Won't be back.

My daughter found this place on Yelp during our driving tour of upstate New York. The place is totally unassuming, but the food is excellent and quite reasonable in prices. The place has very limited seating, so be prepared to wait a little. The owner told me that the cooking methods and recipes are from his family who operated restaurants in Taiwan for 40 years. Definitely try the braised pork and beef noodles, both were very delicious. The quality of the food is very close to those Taiwanese delis in Southern California. We certainly didn't anticipate finding a Taiwanese deli in Troy (of all places). Keep up the good work.

We have passed this place and heard it was good, since my husband cannot have msg we had to ask. He asked if it was our first time since they have been around ten years and never use that. They were all so helpful in assisting us with the menu since we had no idea what to get. The must try are the "Pork soup dumplings" my favorite server Larry showed us how to eat them. Then Crispy Beef why have I never tried this before !!!! My husband had these amazing ribs Wuxi and everything we had was so Delicious. Every server at one time or another stopped by our table to offer help or see if we had questions. Our new go to place for amazing unique food !!!!!

It's a throw back to my childhood years with "Pupu Platters" and plenty of duck sauce. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere lovely, the food however is really basic American Chinese found in most malls or shopping centers but again with a nicer place to dine. There's more authentic places in Latham and Albany.

Our (adult) kids took us here for lunch. Good choice. Good selection of reasonably priced lunch plates. The cutest little kid (a waitressâ child) greeted us. The fresh salad roll was a lovely presentation and tasty as well. Weâre big fans of fresh spring rolls and this was a nice relatively close cousin. I chose the Pad se Ew. Iâd never heard of it before. First cousin to Pad Thai, Wiki says it is pan fried. I found it a bit more flavorful than the average Pad Thai. Yum! My wifeâs Green Curry was also very good. Service was excellent. Seating is limited, but adequate, as is the parking. Two thumbs up!

Upscale Japanese Sushi Restaurant and Bar located in downtown Troy, NY.
Located in downtown Troy is a GEM of a small and cozy sushi restaurant. Casual but contemporary Japanese atmosphere. Eight seats at the sushi bar and about 8 tables. The restaurant is newly opened under new management. This place is the real place for sushi!!! Everything we had for lunch was wonderful. The edamame were warm and perfectly salted. The vegetarian gyoza were a trial for me but the flavors were perfect. The chicken tempura was perfectly prepared artistically presented. I had a rainbow roll(perfect, fresh, no sauce, perfect rice) and Black table roll(fresh scallops, crab, avocado, white tuna) which was wonderful. The spicy trio combination sushi was perfect and artistic. The Chirachi was artistically prepared with fresh fish. I have been to some of the best sushi restaurants in the USA and Unagi ranks among the best.

First off, Troy Kitchen is a REALLY NEAT VENUE made up of about 1/2 dozen "order at the counter" restaurants, a common eating area, and then a performance space. While I LOVE TROY KITCHEN, I would NOT recommend one of the eateries located within Troy Kitchen, Halal Palace. A few weeks ago I placed a catering order with Halal Palace on a Sunday afternoon for a Monday delivery. The owner who took my order was very pleasant and said he'd throw in free beverages as well as giving me a discount. After placing the order, I repeated back to him everything we had spoken about (that I had written on paper), including the total cost and 20% tip I had tacked onto the order. We agreed on everything and hung up the phone. With the exception of the delivery being made on time the next day, everything else went down hill fast. I first noticed that plates had not come with the order as promised. I asked the delivery person if he could swing back to the restaurant to pick up the plates. He looked panicked, saying his boss (the owner) would not be happy with this. I realized why, when about 5 minutes later (as i was waiting for the plates and unpacking the food), I got a horribly unprofessional and nasty phone call from the owner, yelling at me from the other end of the phone line telling me to "stop monkeying around with [his] delivery person" and accusing me of never having asked for plates. The owner hung up on me several times during this phone encounter, also alleging me of lying and only giving a 20% tip when he "claims" I "promised" a 30% tip on the order. While waiting for the plates and unpacking the rest of the catering order, I realized there was also no salad dressing. I called back the restaurant requesting salad dressing be added to the plates that were needed. I reached the owner again who continued to scream at me and hang up the phone several times, saying i never ordered salad dressing and was lying and wasting his time and money after he had comped my beverages and given me a discount on the food. I tried to explain that while I was appreciative of the gesture he made with those discounts, that was not an excuse to not deliver what I had ordered and paid for. He called me some pretty nasty and sexist names i will not put here on this review and hung up the phone on me. In short, it was terrible customer service and I've never encountered such verbal abuse from a restaurant employee, let alone the owner. Taste-wise, the falafels and rice were completely bland and extremely dry. I love falafels and have had them at several other locations where they were moist and tasty. I had to drench the food in hot sauce, BBQ sauce, and Tzatziki sauce to get any kind of flavor out of them. I thought perhaps if I took some leftovers home and spritzed a bit of water on them before microwaving them, they'd be more moist and flavorful. Unfortunately, this didn't change anything. I will never order from this restaurant again. I will patron Troy Kitchen, but not Halal Palace.
