Let me start off by saying the sushi is absolutely phenomenal, arguably the best I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot of sushi outside of Roanoke.) I would give the atmosphere a 7/10... I see what they're shooting for, which is good, but they're not quite there yet... a few minor improvements would accomplish their goals. Now the bad, and the ugly. The service was received was absolutely HORRENDOUS:-From the time we sat down, it took literally 30 minutes to receive beverages. The first 3 choices of my date, they were out of, including a specialty drink on their menu. Additionally, the servers couldn't remember ANYTHING, and every food item/drink had to be ordered multiple times. I can't even count how many times they couldn't remember/confused things!-At one point, there were only 7 people seated, 2 persons each, and 2 servers "working." At this point, a guy at another table turns to us to express his disbelief that service was this bad when only 7 tables had people at them. The "servers" were nowhere to be found half the night, I am talking completely just gone. When they did show up, we had to order drinks/food multiple times, because they had forgot/confused it. This literally turned into a 2 hour+ dinner because the servers frequently disappeared.-1 server brought our appetizer and sat it on another table. That table told them they didnt order it, to which I said "We ordered those" (45 minutes ago in fact). She proceeded to lift the food off of that table circle around the restaurant and place it on ours. That's a health code violation, but I ignored it, because I wasn't waiting another 45 minutes for an appetizer. 30 minutes per beverage was bad enough too. -Outside of my date's first 3 drink requests being "out"... I had to place an order for a mixed drink (jim beam and coke) three times!! they couldn't remember a 2 ingredient drink!-Other Patrons were openly complaining about the service. They, we, were literally discussing how ridiculous the lack of service was with other patrons... at which point, the server confused multiple table's items on one another's checks. After several back-and-forths to the register and failing to get it right, he had to take everyone's word for what they ordered. My suspicion is that the owner of the business is an incredible sushi chef, because the food itself was amazing, but the service and overall management of the place was a complete failure. I hope he/she hires a good manager, and the service is straightened out!
My wife and I visited Agogo for the first time the selections are at first rice fried or white or lo mein noodles then the toppings of The Rice Bowl which is your protein options chicken three ways hot and spicy grilled or general chicken then for the toppings which is broccoli - peas - green beans and then some sides such as crab rangoon and a few other items. Which all we ordered was fresh and tasted good. But the negative was no coffee no hot tea the selection was water or soft drinks. And you eat with plastic forks and spoons. I thought it was right pricey. I ordered water my wife ordered diet Soft drink. The bill came to over $25.00

In the mood for Thai food and this was good but not memorable. Many other options nearby when you are cruising downtown Roanoke.

The Pho here is not only great but the portion sizes are huge! I usually get take out and it ends up being two meals for me or I share with my son. I love the chicken with rice noodles Pho or the vegetarian with rice noodles Pho. They were out of chicken last night on a Saturday which was disappointing, but it's ok. Ignore the lacking upkeep and poor decor. This place is a gem with a nice family running it!

A fellow traveler recommended City Corner 2 when I was talking about another Thai restaurant that didn't impress me...he was not wrong! It's family friendly, affordable, and the food is amazing. I wish that I could remember the name of the dish that I had, but it was Crab something or other. No fake crab here and it had fresh perfectly cooked vegetables in a savory broth. I ordered it medium to be safe, but will opt for medium hot next time. If you like authentic Thai food, this is your place!

Our family dined in while traveling through the area. We enjoyed vegetarian spring rolls with peanut sauce as an appetizer. We also ate tofu noodles dishes which were very good as well. They also have a large selection of bubble tea flavors. We had coconut and mango. Yum! The portion sizes were very generous. We had to take some to go.The establishment is clean and the staff very polite. I recommend and would go again.

We didn't experience any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. The staff was very friendly. I will say their take on the teriyaki entrees was different than what we're used to, but it was delicious. My husband and son really enjoyed the sushi too!

Having been on the road over a week we were craving Asian food. This restaurant seemed like a good bet with Sushi, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese foods all available. We dined on Summer Rolls, Seaweed Salad,Miso Soup, Shumai Soup, a Salmon Cucumber Maki Roll and a Four Treasures entree with 4 proteins. Glasses of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were great accompaniments. We left very full and happy with the quality and selection of our dining choices.

Three couples went there for lunch on Saturday. Great selection of lunches, Our guests had pad thai, larb gai, green curry, red curry, and thai salad. A few had Singha Beer! Overall a very nice place - the only down side was the garden roll hd lettuce and one shrimp, and portion sizes were very small.
