The restaurant is in a beautiful setting of Vigan with cobbled streets. Filipino food again, Bangus fish, prawn dish, veg chop suey, chicken bbq, garlic rice and pineapple juice. All served in a timely manner and with a smile. Food was very tasty. Also had a green coconut dessert with tapioca balls inside.

aside from the royal bibingka which i always buy for ‘pasalubong’ when visiting vigan, tong son’s longganisa is the best of its kind. you need to have it for breakfast the next day to see the big difference from other local sausages elsewhere. the chichacorn is also a must-buy souvenir food item. it won’t disappoint.

It comes alive by mid-afternoon, especially on weekdays, anxiously anticipating the stream of students and office workers going home and looking for a good, cheap meal. All of Ilocandia’s favorite foods are available here: Vigan empanada, okoy, bibingka, sinanglaw, and many others. The place has also become popular among tourists out for an afternoon stroll or shopping for souvenirs at nearby Calle Crisologo. Nice to experience quaint, rural Vigan cuisine here.

With a convenient location near Calle Crisologo, this modern cafe offers great beverage choices and a decent food menu. We just wanted something quick and light for dinner after the heavy local cuisine we had for lunch. We opted for a mixed green salad and a calzone with a local twist which were both fine. The price was right. The atmosphere was relaxed yet lively with some couches to just chill with a cup of coffee. And service was fast and efficient.

They serve Ilocano cuisine. This is located inside Hidden Gardens so you can go around the place before of after eating.Unfortunately, they close early so dinner has to be early but better schedule this place for lunch or afternoon snacks and try their Vigan empanada.

This place was recommended by our accommodations and was quite satisfying. All the Ilocano dishes we ordered were priced right and hit the spot. The bagnet with KBL sauce, poqui-poqui, bagoong fried rice--all were delicious. The wait staff was attentive and welcoming. We were seated in the cafe portion of the restaurant complex where it was cozy and had a nice ambience. A definite must-visit the next time I return to Vigan.

Hidden Garden

We were staying at the Hotel Luna & decided to head here for dinner. It’s about a 30 minute calesa ride. The grounds are full of plants - - as the name suggests. We were told that it could get busy, but we got there around 3:00 & had no issue getting in. After ordering, it was suggested that we take a walk around as it would take about 20 minutes to cook our food. Off we went on our garden adventure. It’s a peaceful place plenty of plants to walk through. It relaxes you. You can even get a massage if you’d like.We ordered the following:Fried Chicken: it’s not bad chicken. Not overly salty. I could order it again.Pancit: it was good, slightly salty.Pinakbet: my wife really enjoyed it.Empanada: Illocos style - - it was good.Service was attentive & timely. The food is good, not great. The gardens are peaceful. It’s a relaxing time. Enjoy.

Cafe Leona

This restaurant was named after a certain person, a resident of Vigan, a playwright and a distant relative of our hero Jose Rizal. Let’s cut to the chase. Food menu extensive, offering not only local specialities but some Asian cuisine as well. Place was cramped , that I understand. Being located in historic Calle Crisologo. But many of the food we ordered were heated in a microwave before being served? For the price paid? That I can’t understand.

We asked a local old-timer for a good place for lunch and he immediately suggested Café Uno which is reportedly regularly patronized by residents and tourists alike. The interior is relaxing and laid-back, quietly homey and very comfortable. They offer all the dishes Ilocos Sur is famous for, and more. It is actually part of a “trio” of food establishments, the other two being Uno Grille (opens at 2:00pm for the late-night crowd) and Kusina Felicitas, all just a short walk from Calle Crisologo.

Awesome microbrewery and smokehouse. If you are lucky enough to be in Vigan, Philippines and like beer you should visit this place. Six different brews and wines from Europe, Australia and South America. The smoker produces amazing ribs and belly. We tried spareribs, baby back ribs and pork belly. They use a dry coffee rub that is just the right amount of seasoning for the delicious smokey taste. We were also given a tour of the wine cellar and brewery. Say hi to the helpful and friendly team Kyle, Dannah, Rasheed, Faye and Aries. The building is restored from Casa Lordes, 1875. A perfect place to drink, eat and socializing.
