My last review was just a trifle negative but I'm pleased to say that this restaurant is back on top again following my lunch experience yesterday. Without doubt the Chinese food served here is better than any you'll find between Kempsey and Coffs Harbour. When it comes to their ingredients, flavour, presentation and size of serve they are tops. In my mind the first three are incredibly important. This review only applies to the restaurant's Chinese food as I have never chosen anything from their extensive European cuisine menu.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with lunch at Chan's. This is the second time we have been to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We ordered a Sizzling Combination, Braised Prawns and Vegetables, Steamed Rice and Green Tea. All of the dishes were delicious and there wasn't a scrap left on our plates in the end!. At around $45 our meal was great value for money. Staff were smiling and friendly too and also loved the view across to the river. Recommend!

Having eaten at Qudo over many years, enjoying food, service and atmosphere, our sport's club decided that Qudo was the right place to celebrate a special occasion for four of its members. To be honest, we were quite concerned that our numbers might be too much for the space available, but host Taka San went to great lengths to accommodate us with arranging tables until we managed to fit our group of 27 members. In the weeks leading up to our event, our club organiser worked closely with Taka San and ensured that the orders were in well before the day of the party. As a result, it ran like a well-oiled machine. The food and the drinks arriving at our tables without so much as a ripple. Our members were super impressed with the taste of the food, the efficiency of the kitchen, friendly service and kindness of Taka San.Food and drinks - So many meals were served that night but the seared salmon definitely got a thumbs up, as did the sushi and chicken kariagi. Having said that, the vegetarians in the group liked the many options that were available to them too. Beer, tea and coffee also received the thumbs up from the large group. With the Suntory on tap getting the biggest nods of the night. My many thanks to Taka San, the kitchen and serving staff for making this such a special occasion for our members, or as they say in Japan, Arigato gozai mashita.
