Cochin (pronounced co-shin) is a casual but slick 60-seat restaurant and bar with dark timbers, earthy interiors and contemporary lighting. Our tapas-style share menu features French Vietnamese dishes like sautéed soft shell crab, beautiful duck a lâorang
There are so many well rated restaurants on Swan Street but Cochin stood out for its mix of good/different food. Very friendly and helpful service throughout, a fairly logical wine list and sparkling water charged for simply, not as a way to boost margin. We cheated and went for (were guided into) the âFeed meâ option. A simple three course feed that was nice but didnât really showcase the best of the menu. Next time, and there definitely will be one, we will choose what appeals instead. We left feeling we chose the right place to dine but sort of knowing we could have eaten better if we had made the effort.

Housed in an historic turn-of-the-century horse stable, Hawker Hall is our representation of a food and beer hall that takes its inspiration from the vibrant hawker centres of Singapore & Malaysia. Our food is inspired by the vibrant street-food culture o
We stopped by for lunch and were disappointed with the experience. The space is stylish and spacious and service was okay but the food was average, over priced and poor value. The portion sizes were minuscule. I understand they are share plates but the the amount of food in each dish was tiny. There are so many places that you get twice the amount of (better quality) food at half the price. The dishes we did try were fine but nothing special. Poor value for money and trading on hype that is unwarranted.

Rice Paper Scissors is modeled on the hawker dining bars of South East Asia with a shared-eating concept being the focus of our offering. We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced organically and ethically where possible - and all our sauces,
What an unexpected treat!I stumbled across this place for lunch whilst in the city visiting an art installation. My local friend joined me and said sheâd been trying to dine there for ages (no bookings for evenings).Chose the banquet and where left well beyond full. The smoked chicken salad is to die for. Cocktails are a winner with daily specials and an exquisite Vietnamese inspired take on the classic espresso martini.Looking forward to revisiting soon.

The blonde waitress (forgot to ask her name) on Wednesday night, was the most attentive service Iâve had in Melbourne, she catered to all of our needs and had a lively upbeat personality Canât say a bad thing about my dining experience :)Hello Zoe, We're glad to hear you enjoyed your recent experience at Tokyo Tina! We pride ourselves on delivering the best service and we'll be sure to relay that feedback on :) We can't wait to see you back down again soon! Tokyo Tina.

Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway, Hochi Mama is a fun and relaxed restaurant/bar serving up modern Vietnamese-inspired street food. Expect interesting interpretations of traditional classics, as well as more contemporary Asian Fusion menu items. In
Exceptional food and staff...could not fault this restaurant. Great value with their $65 deal for two people with meals that kept all the taste buds firing. Would highly recommend if you are doing a night out at the theatre or even just a nice dinner out.
A daring duo, perfectly paired. Perpetually Rotating Craft Beers and Eastern Feast shared among the table. Located in Richmond at the heart of our iconic Bridge Rd, a street steeped in history dating back to the 1837. Kekou (to taste good) is the regions
We loved our recent visit to Kekou! We each went for the $32 lunch special which was really filling and worth every cent. the Lobster Betel Leaf was a delicious little bite and the chicken yellow curry was amazing too. You could tell the egg noodles were homemade...yum!Thank you for such a positive review @travelmarnieThe $32 lunch special is definitely worth the while.. A starter...A main... and 1 pot (it makes things tricky when we have 18 craft beer taps to choose from) Everything prepared from our kitchen is made from scratch (even down to the curry pastes) so you know the food will always be top quality! We welcome you back for dinner as our menu has more options and variety. Thanks again @travelmarnie. We hope to see you soon.

Of the same milieu/owner as Chin Chin and Hawker Hall, Kong is amazing. While the food at each is beautiful and individual, the thing that stands out here is the service. On arrival, we had two attentive - and beautiful- waitresses - fussing over our very need immediately. What a pleasure. The fitout here is outstanding: itâs an old fire station so relevant pipes and taps are incorporated into the visual offering. Food arrived quickly, and was just superb. Prawn and scallops dumplings, chicken bao and a special broccoli Asian style. Mixed with special - really special - fried rice, and this place is a âgo toâ venue. Great and simple wine list. Try here. Fantastic.

Such amazing food, especially the watermelon martini and the salmon tacos. The corn ball special also really good. Quick good and fantastic service the waiters/ waitress all really friendly. A little loud but a younger vibe. Pricey but not too ridiculous and worth the amazingness of the food. Canât wait to return!

Nestled in Windsor, Melbourne, amok is chef Woody Chet's vision where he is bringing experience from Coda and Tonka to share his modern interpretation of his homeland's culinary flavours with locals. His Cambodian inspired dinner menu weaves in delicate y
Really interesting food in a small setting . A good range of small, medium and large dishes. Our favourites were fish amok; scotch fillet and the spiced cauliflower side. Very reasonably priced wine list from small wineries. Strongly recommend. Also consider the chefâs tasting menu.
