This place goes from strength to strength, yet is still something of a hidden gem.The food is consistently good; having tried various dishes from both the brunch/lunch and evening Thai menus, Iâve never been disappointed.The beer is well kept, with a regularly changing selection on offer. All this is topped off by a warm welcome from the friendly and attentive staff, that help ensure a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere.Well worth a visit, or two!

I donât often write reviews, but this restaurant and its staff deserve this and more! It is rare that you feel like royalty because of the way you are welcomed, waited on and served. From the moment you approach you are greeted at the door by a member of staff, welcomed inside to a beautiful restaurant and wall water feature, and the waiters pull your chair for you and tuck you in, and lay a napkin on you. You donât get this sort of service often. The menu is really varied, with plenty to choose from, and they take special care of any dietary requirements with great focus made to ensure you are served food in line with your requirements. They are very reassuring and clearly listen and remember requests. The food is of a beautiful standard, in both appearance and taste. It was my partners birthday, and when they brought out her cake which I brought with us they not only sang happy birthday but had put complimentary Ferrero Rocheâs around it! A lovely and generous touch. After cake and requesting the bill they brought us chocolates with the bill, a complimentary spirit each, and we were made to feel very welcome and cared for throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful, very well designed and the loos even have aftershave and mouthwash to freshen up with! I couldnât recommend enough. We were there almost 3 hours for just over £20 each. A memorable and wonderful experience.

First time eating here and I was not disappointed. Service good, everyone really friendly and helpful. Amazing menu to choose from and I really enjoyed the starter and main I had. A nice touch with a free drink at end of meal, although I turned this down as I don't drink spirits. Will definitely go back and eat here again.Dear eph9,Thank you for your feedback. So decided to give the House of Spice a second try after my first disastrous experience a year or two ago. Unfortunately the quality of food is still just as poor and the service is pretty shocking. I would love this to improve as it is a prime location in the town and I wish them the best of luck but right now it is pretty shocking.

We visited The Churchill Arms for a mid-week lunch and the Thai food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant area has a nice atmosphere. This was our first visit but will definitely be back.

have had two takeaways from here, mid week is fine but on the weekends be prepared to wait an hour for food. The food is very good and being a vegetarian, their extensive range of veggie food is amazing! the veggie hoisen duck is beautiful! If you are dining in, I can imagine it is a bit off putting with people coming in and waiting for takeaways as the restaurant is very small. It would be amazing if they could make a separate waiting room for takeaway customers so you don't feel you are ruining the experience for people dining in

A huge menu and food that arrives very fast. 5 of us out for a meal on a Friday night and the pub was packed. The waiters could not have been better - and my oh my was the presentation fast. Delicious, freshly cooked food at very decent prices. Do go.
