First visited this small restaurant on their opening night and was very impressed with the authentic food and lovely staff. Dishes are a very generous size, very well priced and all food is super fresh and beautifully cooked. Tender Mussaman curry meat falls apart, stir fry prawns are large and veges are fresh and crispy. Being older locals we often order from their comprehensive take away/delivery menu. Order is quickly delivered by friendly staff and is just as fresh and tasty as in-house meals. Thai Street beats all the other Thai restaurants in the district, & is certainly one of the very best we've experienced. A definite must for Thai food lovers!

Went here based on TA reviews over other Thai in the area. I was expecting a clean suburban eatery with good food; unfortunately this is not what materialised. The food was bland. Red curry chicken was watery and lacked depth of flavour. Ginger stir fry was too salty to eat, and had a thick gelatinous sauce that was unappealing. The smoke from the kitchen was overbearing (albeit authentic to Thailand!) and tables nearby still had empty dishes for most of the period i was there. I was really hoping for more but i was disappointed.Staff nice and helpful but the food lets the place down.
Regular customer here and always good service and tasty food. All the usual Chinese/Asian style dishes with vegan and vegetarian options too. Special fried rice always good. Meal package deals and usually give you a free bonus like prawn crackers when ordering up large. Canât remember having a disappointing dish from here. Nothing too exciting but always reliable.

I attended a farewell here as my former boss was retiring. The meals were plentiful and quite nice. Service was friendly. BYO restaurant so you can bring your own wine which saves money. Food was good quality. Would return.

This unassuming "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant does a close facsimile to "American Style" Chinese food, especially the large spring rolls. The service is good and the prices quite reasonable. The chef is enthusiastic and often comes out to chat with his customers. The venue is reasonably quiet, especially at lunch, and a good place to have business discussions. I eat here several times a month.

Received take away order last night.Asked for Prawn and snow peas - got some spicy prawn dish with beans and carrots that couldnât eat ( how hard is it to cook prawns and some snow peas)??Beef satay - may need to reconsider our usual Thai restaurant in Springwood after this experience - more like rubber.Chicken - over cooked and fell off stick due to dryness. Obviously quality of produce on a Tuesday night is not great. Not impressed

Have had both takeaway and eat in many times over many years. Food is always good quality and tasty. Access via streets behind venue and not accessible if you are unable to take about 12 stairs to get into the restaurant. They often have live music which is generally good

Authentic Thai food served with a lovely smile from the friendly mamasanThe shop itself is basic but you know that its real when they have a big picture of the Thia King. Prices are fair and the food is tasty. Worth a try.

We've been patrons here for thirty odd years and Springwood Gardens has never disappointed. All the standard Chinese fare is available here and all these dishes, as a rule, are delicious, superbly cooked and beautifully presented. But what always attracts our attention is the interesting array of dishes on the Specials Menu, which is regularly updated by Stephen, the congenial owner. These dishes are often innovative and reflect the currently available seasonal produce. Recently, we feasted on Salt & Pepper Eggplant Chips, Seafood San Choy Bau and Crocodile in Ginger & Shallots. All of which we'd recommend most heartily. And while I understand why some people may think this restaurant's decor looks "a little tired", I would still rate this restaurant highly. If you're after quality Chinese cuisine and an above average wine list for you to choose from, then go no further. Springwood Gardens offers outstanding value for your money.
