Things to do in Solomon Islands
Now located inside the Point Cruz Yacht Club the restaurant has lost most of its atmosphere but the staff and service remain the same. Their food is really fresh and delicious. We have been many times and the service and quality remain the same.
The name itself - Cowboy's Grill - is almost synonymous with partying! It conjures images of live band entertainment, good food and clean fun which makes it the best place to hang-out with your loved ones, families and friends.
Business dinner here was superb. Table service was excellent and prices thou somewhat on the expensive side by Solomon Is standards the staff were well trained and efficient.

After trying the Chinese restaurant right across from this place, I decided to try the Korean one next. Not being very fond of Korean food in general, I did not expect much - but was positively surprised! Their 'special' is very good value for 135 Solomon dollars - tried the fish and the next day the beef, with soup and three side-dishes plus rice. They sell good red wine by the glass (40 $). Good service, clean, friendly - the best place I dined in Honiara!

Fusion food provides an interesting variation on the Honiara luncheon scene. Good mixture of Asian and western varieties with soups, laksa, pad thai, sandwiches and tacos. Nice fresh salads to accompany the mains. Quiet and cool, it is a pleasant oasis for small group meetings and a catch up with friends away from the hot, dusty streets.

Arriving hungry for dinner as a takeaway, I noticed that there was a monte python atmosphere about the ordering process with the guy rushing away babbling in chinese apparently to see if there was any of the items available. Building works and workers with power saws assisted the 'fine dining' atmosphere. The interior was better than the exterior and it reminded me how nice it was to sit in such a place with a chinese business colleague and get smashed on tumblerfulls of cognac (in Singapore many years ago) After a while all the chat is intelligible and I didn't know I could speak chinese that good! the food was gob-cram not for taste, though substances named 'peking duck', and 'lobster' came and went. So how do you know if you have been overcharged? - the dealer gives you huge smiles and many thanks as he grossly overcharges. Same with this place. Food quite ok but later 'burrpees' told me what it really digested like.
Waterside dining with a chilled, relaxed island feel and tranquil music. A combined bar and purpose built kitchen with a standing wok station. Our Chefs use the best local and regional produce to create a 'East-meets-West' cuisine with a South Pacific twi
Walk through the hotel foyer and down the path to the sea, and there is a lovely Asian restaurant and bar, open air, beside the water - lovely view, cool breeze, good staff, lovely food. The portions aren't large but the food was really noteworthy. I highly recommend it.

we came here for dinner with a friend and had three tasty dishes in a quiet setting (it's on the second floor and a little difficult to find the stairs up). The dishes we selected compared favorably to our favorite Indian restaurant at home and the price was reasonable!

This place is a very clean Japanese restaurant it has a huge range of traditional Japanese food on the menu. I had a Vegetarian okonomiyaki ($70) and it was dinner plate sized, fresh and tasty. I also tried the Takoyaki and they were amazing - some of the best I have tried. You can also get a range of Japanese beers and drinks here.

One of the smaller hotels in town. Friendly staff. Nice and cosy. Beach at the front appears cleaner than the rest of the hotels on the same strip. Food is average.Dear PenFoodie, firstly I would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review on our wonderful resort. As you have mentioned we are currently one of the smaller hotels within Honiara with only 35 rooms - with plans to add an additional 65 over due course. Your comment regarding our food offering is somewhat questionable as we take great pride in sourcing all of the best, freshest ingredients and even importing particular items in that are not available here in the country. Chefs are also sourced from around the globe to ensure our food offering is a step above the rest. Should you be returning to the resort at any time please contact me directly so that I may show you how very different we are. Sincerely, Trent Allan - Coral Sea Resort

Authentic Japanese Restaurant. You can eat sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki....
We found it difficult to find a restaurant with a great menu and food that was acceptable in Honiara. However we came across this Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu and excellent food. Can't wait to go back there for the rest of the week's dining.
