Our extended family stopped in at Siam in Soldotna for some Thai food. The food was quite good. If you enjoy Thai food you will enjoy Siam.

I had the buffet recently and it was the worst food I've ever eaten from a buffet style restaurant. It was old and dry and very expensive. Also had some sushi and it was very good but expensive as well. Overall the service was horrible. I got a glass of water and it was never refilled. My friend had a beer and had to ask for a second one. No water was offered. I haven't been to Nikko Garden for several years. Probably be several more before I go back.

Typically I am not too impressed with buffet food, but this food was well prepared and had good flavor. The assortment and selection were rather limited, but the service was the real treat and the reason for the fourth star. Truly kid and family friendly as well - the prices for the children are even adjusted by age. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant.

While the food was good, there was nothing outstanding or extraordinary about it...it was the typical chinese buffet. They had a difficult time keeping the buffet items stocked and ran out of items.

When we entered this cafe the first time it was apparent immediately that there is pride in the business; clean, quiet, tastefully decorated in Thai art, tables well spaced. Usually just seat yourself and the staff are at your table within minutes. We started off with some fantastic steamed dumplings and ordered the Thom Kha soup and Massaman Curry. Soup is all about the stock, and this was so incredibly delicious it made me slow down eating and really savor the rich broth. The Massaman was incredibly complex with flavors of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, cumin, bay leaves, nutmeg, lemongrass, galangal, white pepper, shrimp paste, shallots and garlic; as with the soup it makes you want to just take a taste and savor all of the flavors.Service is outstanding as well; water glasses topped off, plates cleared immediately, and so much polite bowing from our waitress we found ourselves bowing back in gratitude. This little cafe is a gem in the wilderness and well worth a (or many) visit.

Located on main road between Soldotna and Kenai, this small restaurant and drive thru has outstanding sushi. You walk down a narrow hallway past the kitchen itself to get to a small orientally themed dining area which has 8-10 tables. We had California roll, Temptation roll as well as sweet and sour shrimp. One dish was better than the next! The service as fast and friendly. If you're in or near area and like sushi, be sure to stop here! ,
