The city shares a border on the Arkansas-Oklahoma state line with the city of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, which is within the Cherokee Nation territory. The town was founded in 1882 and was characterized by the purported healing powers of the spring water feeding Sager Creek and trading with nearby Native American tribes. John Brown University (JBU) was founded in 1919 as a private, interdenominational, Christian liberal arts college in the city. Today, Siloam Springs is known for its efforts to preserve and revitalize the city's historic downtown and as a promoter of the arts via Sager Creek Arts Center and the JBU art gallery. The community is located on the western edge of the growing Northwest Arkansas metropolitan area and has had a population increase of 47% to 15,039 between the 2000 and 2010 censuses.

We stopped in to eat at 28 Springs while in town. I got a unique "cuban" fried steak with cilantro-lime and black beans. Very tasty and great presentation.My wife got a curry chicken sandwich special. While good, we both liked the Cuban better.Waiter and staff were very friendly.The place was not crowded so not sure if it was prices (a little high for lunch) or we got there in afternoon after any lunch crowd.Yes, we will probably go back perhaps for dinner.

I had their stir fry vegetables and chicken. It was mostly salt. I didnât think you could mess chicken up. I was wrong.Hi,We're so sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. Pad See Ew is my new favorite Thai dish! Ordered it with beef and really enjoyed it. The Pad Thai is good. The menu is not extensive at all, but what they offer, is quite well prepared. We will definitely return.
