Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Siem Reap. When the morning light washes over the overgrown temples and ruins of Angkor Wat, a simple Siem Reap sunrise becomes a profound event. The ancient structures are contained within one of the largest religious complexes in the world. The complex and the 12th century Angkor Thom royal city are considered the main reasons to visit Siem Reap. Chi Restaurant is located in room with a high vaulted wood ceiling making the room quiet and lighting soft. The restaurant invites quiet conversations. While the menu offers standards, Khmer dishes on the menu reward visitors willing to step outside their normal selections. The duck curry balances spice and heat with a deft touch as do the other Khmer dishes. Breakfast ranges from European to Asian dishes with soup making a delicious alternative to pancakes or omelets. An area of the restaurant is given over to the bar which not only can offer all the standard cocktails but also offers its own specialties - just ask. All of this is brought together by a friendly engaged staff who are delighted to take the extra moment for a smile or a quiet chat.

We've tried a number of other little restaurants which don't compare in quality of food, friendliness or value. The staff here are smiling and attentive... they really want to please. DID - Dine in the Dark: Siem Reap is a restaurant for a cause. We are proud and dedicated to help visually impaired, blind people in Siem Reap by training them to the food and beverage job (waitress, waiter) and employ them as Guide in our restaurant. We
As a place to have a meal, I have my reservations, because to enjoy good food, one must actually see the food. But as an experience, it is something unique. The main point of the experience is interacting with your blind guide while youâre having your meal in complete darkness. That is the real value. The blind guides are well trained. It is a chance to talk with them about things that can be awkward in any other setting. Thus, one comes out enriched. The food, which is secret until you have finished it, tastes very good. However, the main purpose is not essentially a dining experience.Hello FMoz, Thanks a lot for dining at our restaurant and making the effort to leave us your comments.Everybody working at DID- Dine in the dark Siem Reap are helpful and friendly. Our staff work extremely hard to ensure everybody likes their meal with us. I will pass your remarks back to our team.We were happy to learn that you really liked our food. We have a wide selection on our menu which is suited to everybody. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with us. Enjoy the remainder of your time in Cambodia.Greetings from all DID restaurant's team!

We ate at Meric Khchei twice during our short visit to Siem Reap and we were extremely pleased with the quality of everything that we tried. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with indoor and outdoor seating and, although it is only 10 minutes or so from the ultra busy pub street, is quiet and a relaxing place to eat.The salads are very fresh with lovely dressings and my favourites were the duck red curry and the beef lok lak.Prices are also very reasonable for such good quality and it was nice to talk to the chef/owner who is clearly enthusiastic about the food he is preparing.I would not hesitate to recommend.Dear Turkey007,Firstly I would like to thank you for coming over to our restaurant twice during your short stay in Siemreap, It is my great pleasure to read your kind word to share experience here to other travelers, We are really happy that you satisfied with our food, service and decoration, It was much appreciated for your review as we are the young local business and we hope to served you again for your next visit to Siemreap.Best regards,Meric Khchei team,

Tevyâs Restaurant is a small intimate space offering a variety of both Khmer and Western choices, using mainly organically produced ingredients. Vegetarian options are included on the menu.
We stopped in after a long morning of temple touring and enjoyed two fresh fruit shakes, Curry and fried noodles. Flavours were great and the price was right. Owner super friendly, and listening to the other patrons, sounds like there are a lot of repeat customers. We would visit again for sure.Dear SSA long morning at the Temples can only be complimented, fully, by good, fruit filled Shakes at Tevyâs Place. And you astutely chose to do that. Friendliness is an important âingredientâ In the recipe for the homely welcome âmealâ at Tevyâs Place. Indeed, we have, literally, hundreds of returning guests who are living testimony to the positive experiences at this little modest, authentic Cambodian corner. We are sincerely indebted to you for your ever so kind words and support. It us our fervent wish that you have great joy in your life both now and in the future.

We decided to eat here based on the reviews. Its a good thing that this restaurant offers a free round-trip tuk-tuk ride otherwise, we wouldn't have found it. Its tucked away in the midst of a residential neighborhood. The restaurant has a homey paradise feel to it - traditional Khmer wooden house second floor amidst the trees. Service is superb and attentive; very hospitable. I like that part of the profit/proceeds goes to a good cause of training and education.Thank you for the complimentary spring roll appetizers. Fried beef with red ants was interesting and intriguing (not sure if red ants were supposed to be crispy). The beef steak was a bit tad chewy but still mighty tasty. Chicken curry was delicious. The variety of desserts we tried were oh so delightful! Worth a visit if you are in Siem Reap.Dear minniemae, warmest greeting from Changkran Khmer Restaurant! Thank you for the positive comment sharing with us here and a completely details, I really glad to know that you satisfied with our food qualities and services As a tokens of our appreciation, please accept our sincerely gratitude for giving us the opportunity to serve you and we look forwards to welcoming you again in the future.
