he loved the chicken fried rice, It always looked fresh and hot and smelled good, nice veggies etc. he loved the eel sushi, the spring rolls etc. I got the steamed chicken and rice and veggies, good veggies, zucchini etc.
Had take out from there on Friday night. Lady who took the order over the phone was very pleasant to talk with. Order was ready when promised, items that were ordered were correct. The counter person was very friendly, thanked me from coming in and wished me a good weekend. Location easy to get to just off William Floyd in the shopping center on the east side just south of the LIE. Quality of the food was very good. Had the combo dinners, Shrimp with garlic sauce and Chicken with garlic sauce, both were very tasty and enough for 2 meals. Will definitely return. One small problem the menu that was posted on line does not have current prices.

May Garden Restaurant is one of the Mastic/Shirley iconic businesses. It has been in existence since the opening of the Southport Shopping Center in Shirley and has offered a unique experience to Cantonese style and Szechuan style Asian foods. There is no shortage of good Asian style of Chinese style take out restaurants in my neighborhood. There are many very good ones and many that open and close within a year simply because they offer nothing but the ordinary. May Garden has maintained an excellent variation of menu items as well as subtle seasoning changes to keep up with the growing fusion method of cooking and still somehow remain traditional. Their General Tso's Chicken Combination is still by far the best in town. Sometimes their prices are a little higher but you get what you pay for. In all the years that I have been using this restaurant, I have never been disappointed. They will continue to stay on my must use regularly list.

Tried the restaurant for a change from the one I've been going to. The food is good and plentiful. The cost is the same as most Chinese resaurants. There are two tables to sit but not really set up as a sit down restaurant. There is plenty of spaces to park.

Mikado Sushi & Hibachi is an exquisite Japanese restaurant with a captivating and modern design that guarantees you a memorable dinner with your family and friends. Whether a fully catered party or an evening dinner, we hope to see you soon at Mikado.
Most decent seeming place for lunch while doing errands in this town. Chinese management. Well appointed, spacious restaurant. Graciously turned down sound system. Standard Japanese fare. Decent shumai (probably frozen), good sized portion of edamame. Sushi assortment all fresh, reasonable size portions. Green tea served lukewarm. Table soy sauce had slightly peculiar taste (low sodium).
