The wonton soup was hot and the wontons tasted good. We ordered chicken choy mein, egg roll, spare ribs, and shrimp with lobster sauce. All the dishes came out hot and very tasty. This is a good restaurant for families because you get large portions and the prices are reasonable.
Always a great takeout. We don't go there often but it is amazing that the young lady always remembers what we ordered.Their food is really good and their prices reasonable. The fact that they don't take credit cards helps them keep the prices good. Love their wonton soup and chicken and garlic. Glad they are still there where others have failed or gone downhill. Very friendly placethat appreciates your business.
We love going here at least once a week. We take all our friends and family here. Never once did we get anything that wasn't fresh. Decore is a little rough, but clean enough at all hours. Food moves so quickly there, you're guaranteed freshness. Kudos to the two wonderful guys that work the grill. They are amazing! This is a good healthy choice for a meal and very affordable for all that you get.

Confirmed with cook that there are new owners. Same great place except these waitresses were way more alert and had great service. I was afraid that the quality would go down but happy to see the same guys working the cooking. Still wish more people would tip them as they are what makes the food great. You can create any combination and try many different sauces. Place was busy which is good so that this place can stay open and continue to provide a great place to eat for reasonable cost.In particular thanks cook with tattoos, one of these days I will remember your name.I am theold dude from liquor store, keep up your great service and attitude.

We had a to go order. The people were very nice. When we got home we noticed a lot of rice and noodles but not much meat. The food was good, but not great. We will go back to Saen Thai in Shawnee next time.

Bamboo House is a small chinese restaurant just off route 209 not far from Shawnee. It reminds me of an old school chinese restaurant in Queens, NY. Nothing fancy but simple chinese decor and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and portions large. What is surprising is the quality of the food. We are from Long Island and my family looks forward to Bamboo House whenever we are in the Poconos area. Wonton Soup and Egg Drop Soup both very good. Hot and Sour soup terrific. Eggs Rolls are good. Old school pot of tea and crisp noodles on the table. Boneless Spareribs are tender in a great sauce. Simple chicken and broccoli is very good. Sesame Chicken is wonderful and no need to ask for white meat chicken here. All dishes are made with white meat chicken. General Tso's chicken results in lightly sauteed chicken in a slightly spicy sauce with vegetables. Among the best versions I've had. Egg Foo Young also excellent. All around excellent and if youre in the area make sure to stop in. You will be glad you did for the food and for your wallet.

I have to admit, I am not big on buffet restaurants but Royal Asian Buffet is my one exception. There is a huge selection of hot, freshly prepared food and unlike some others, they always have plenty of the best dishes on hand.

I have been here a number of times over the past few months for take out. Whether it is hamburgers and fries, Spicy fried chicken, chicken Francese or fried pickles. Portions are extremely generous. Not to mention the cannoli or cheese cakes. Well today we decided to eat there. Husband had the hamburger and fries and I had the Bourbon Street Steak with fries. For appetizer we shared the artichoke Francese (which was to die for). The folks who own this place are great. You will definitely not leave hungry and everything is well worth what you pay for. This is certainly a gem in the Poconos.

Thai Orchid serves fresh authentic Thai food created by owner/chef Kanya Nicholas. Her experience comes from the Northeast area of Thailand and Bangkok. Her menu features traditional Thai dishes and some selections not found in many restaurants outside of
This is our "go to" Thai restaurant in Stroudsburg. Always greeted with a warm welcome and great service. We have been coming here regularly for the past three years and the food is consistently tasty, fresh and since it is made to order, it is served as it is prepared. It is BYOB, and there is a beer distributor just around the corner in case you forget to bring some. If you haven't tried Thai food before, you need to check it out. In my opinion, it is lighter and tastier than Chinese food. Stop by and ask for their recommendations. No language issues or barriers. My favorite used to be Pad Thai until they turned me on to Drunken Noodles.

Attentive service with care. Ordered 3 soups-all good. Pad thai nicely done. Green curry is my favorite but also ordered pan nang- also good. Crispy duck was cooked nicely with good sauce. Lemongrass chicken had a nice sauce too. We enjoyed every dish. Left full and had some leftovers. This was our second time here. If ever in the area again, we'll comeBack.
