Having been a regular customer for many years was disgusted at the flavorless offering. Asked for extra hot resembled less than mild. Coupled with this food was not hot and the delivery driver absolutely stunk of cigarettes, smelt like he had smoked a whole packet on his drive to our house. Once I receive this kind of poor quality I rarely return, so my regular custom will now go to another curry house, I am disappointed you let the food go out like this

This is a fairly conventional Thai restaurant serving good but not innovative food. The menu selection will be quite familiar to Thai food lovers. The dining rooms themselves are set on an historic village green with views through large windows. The rooms are small and there is little privacy between tables. Staff are very friendly and the service is timely. It is very reasonably priced with our dinner for three costing £62 without service. If you are walking or passing through this beautiful village it is good place to eat.

We ordered for the third time a takeaway from here and felt the overall experience was not as good specially as this was our biggest order and placed early at 6.00pm one hour before required.Young lady not over friendly, general attitude that came across on the phone was to take it or leave it really couldn't have cared a damm if we ordered or not.On arrival no eye contact and she let me wait whilst she chattered to the young delivery lad waiting near by, not about business may i add!Food ordered for a specific time, arrived 15 mins early and found it just sitting on the side.Food quality mixed the crispy duck, chicken with ginger and spring onion, special fried rice, Ebi Katsu, Crispy Seaweed & Prawn Toast all good. Teriyaki Chicken, Satay Chicken, vegetable Gyoza disappointing.Cash as the only form of payment this day and age especially when you are spending £40 odd. Another negative for us was the £5.00 delivery charge we felt was not very customer friendly on that quantity of food so early, especially as the driver was sitting around bored. The decor in the place i noticed does look tired and lighting poor, not over welcomingWe will probably not use this place again sadly as we felt the success of TA has made them blasé, resulting in undervaluing the customer experience. Its a real shame as they were so good before and we told all our friends that it was the best takeaway for many miles!

We have been many times before but last Saturdayâs visit was the worst service of any restaurant. Zombie waiter with no people skills. Held glasses by drinking edge. Leaned across people to serve. Didnât clear used glasses and bottles. Had to ask twice for drinks. Dumped water jug and glasses on table to help ourselves. Waited ages for food and sent two dishes back as cold. Waited 20 minutes for coffee and asked twice for the bill. Finally only gave two after eight chocolates although there were five of us. We wonât be returning.

Great reception, welcomed warmly. Seated with space. Drinks arrived promptly.A set menu for Sunday, starter main and side. Tho you could go off menu if you know what you want. I do not tolerate coriander, so they prepare food separately for me- which other Indian restaurants in town refuse to. Food is prepared immediately and freshly, always delivered hot and very tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant is not terribly accessible, I manage on crutches, but it is too narrow for most wheelchairs. Good news is they deliver locally.

If anyone remembers eating Chinese in the 70's, before it got overloaded with sugar, this is right up your street. Extremely welcoming and friendly greeting, even for takeaway customers and we were invited to sit at a table to order and wait for our takeaway, in old fashioned 70's decor, which I did not mind at all. All the dishes were better than expected and the chop suey was as it was meant to be, NOT overloaded with the sweet and sour sauces that every dish in every other takeaway seems tainted with. We are going again.

The Bengal Palace is a friendly family owned restaurant where you can enjoy innovative Indian cuisine in elegant and stylish surroundings. Great pride is taken in creating an extensive range of contemporary dishes from Bengal and the Indian continent. The
Taken me a while to get round to writing this and I honestly cannot say why it has. We head here a lot for meals so are treated as regulars, I suppose. However, let's compare and contrast last night's experience with one of our first (some 20 months ago).Last night, the restaurant was set to be very busy when we walked in. A party of 18 were due in and there were several other small tables already being fed. We ordered our dishes, one from the regular menu and one for the more adventurous eaters. We did not have to wait long at all for service (from the ever friendly, ever helpful staff) nor did we have to wait long for the food to arrive at our table. On the first time we visited we were treated as though we were regulars, little realising that was what we would become. There's two reasons for that. Firstly, the staff, and secondly, the quality of the food.I'm not an expert on Indian food (nor any food from that region of the world, for that matter) but I do know what I like, and I can spot the difference between quality and average probably better than most given I have worked in the industry.Let me tell you now that these dishes are of a superior quality and you can tell that not only the front-of-house staff but also those never-mentioned chefs are as concerned about the quality of food as anyone, if not more so. If you can manage to cook superb food in a kitchen with a Tandoor in weather like we've been having, you deserve the status of legend. Please visit. Please visit again. And Again. It's well worth it.Oh wow! This must be the most comprehensive and rewarding (for the staff) review ever. it's brilliant to be recognised by someone who has worked in the industry and appreciates the effort the team put in, both in the restaurant and also behind the scenes in a hot kitchen.Thank you so much!

I loved the customer service from the moment I booked the restaurant. The person on the phone was so friendly and polite. We had set menu 2. It was amazing. So many different dishes and all home made. All of the staff made us feel special for the whole evening and were so friendly and smiling all the time. This restaurant is amazing and I can understand why customers go back time and time again. Well done, team!
