They have the best pho in Wausau. The other dishes are good, but not great - but the pho is excellent. The cleanliness is not always the best, but it is definitely very good for the price.

This place has some of the best Asian food I've had anywhere, outside of cities like Seattle that have a large Asian population. I can't say enough positive about it. It was my first visit and there was only one other person with me, so I only had the opportunity to try two different dishes plus an appetizer -- everything was excellent. I can't remember the name of the sauce on the scallops, but they were totally amazing, unlike anything I've had before, and I'm not ordinarily a huge fan of seafood in Asian food. If you're anywhere near this restaurant.............go!!!

Our recent visit to Peking found some very pleasant improvements to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The changes are enhancing the bar and restaurant areas. Great job !!!! The bar area is noticably improved. New furniture and design changes improve upon what is already there. The room in back of the bar area also improved with lounging tables and chairs. Very elegant throughout. Great for couples or groups to enjoy a good cocktail/beer in a very relaxed beautiful setting. The food of course is still great.

This is a relatively new Panda Express. The building is beautiful and well maintained. The service is fast and efficient, although the line can get a bit long during peak periods, much like any other popular restaurant. The food is well worth the wait!

I've been ordering from this place for years but I'm the only one in the house who likes it so I usually order in as a treat. The last time I called they had discontinued delivery. I was quite disappointed, especially since the next closest place had ridiculous pricing and the food wasn't nearly as good.

We stayed at a nearby Americinn that was very comfortable. This was the closest restaurant with immediate seating later in the evening after a long day's drive. What a pleasant surprise! The booths are similar to individual rooms, very romantic. The restaurant is immaculate. Our meals were more than good. An added plus was a birthday dessert for my husband which was a nice end to a birthday spent driving all day.The Staff was more than welcoming. I got back to the hotel and realized I had forgotten my purse. When we pulled up a staff member was leaving and told me the purse was at the desk and our waiter had run out after me. It was so dark, we didn't see him. I was thankful I didn't have to wait until sometime the next day to retrieve it. They were in the process of closing for the night. I can't thank them enough. We'll definitely return on our next trip through the area.

I have ordered delivery from Shanghai several times, and have yet to receive the correct order. On this occasion my co-workers and I ordered 3 lunch platters. On the online menu it states that ALL lunch plates come with fried rice, lo mein noodles, and 2 crab Rangoon. Upon receiving our order only one of the lunch plates came with these items. When the restaurant was contacted the owner Loni was very rude, as she usually is on the phone and would not rectify the order, she stated that the kitchen wrote down the order wrong and we got bigger portions than what we paid for-and the only way to get the lunch plates was to not touch the food we already started eating and they would exchange it. We ordered the lunch portions because of the sides that came with it. Poor customer service and mediocre food. I will not give them anymore of my service.
My wife and I enjoy Thai restaurants wherever we travel. However we were both stunned by the Bamboo Hut. From the outside it appears as a rundown building, but the inside was very nice with SE Asian decor. The food was fantastic! Curry fish was spicy with a red curry base. The fish was cod. Not a cheap catfish or tilapia. Huge chunks lightly fried. My wife had a vegetarian red curry very mild that a nice mix of very fresh vegetables. Both meals and two vegetarian egg rolls for 22.54. I just wish they were in my hometown because I would be going there tonight.

Opened about Dec 2009. Local paper (Wausau Daily Herald) gave it a four star review. We ate there for lunch on 4/30/2010. Ambitious menu, fresh ingredients, well-prepared dishes with good presentation. Interesting wine selections. And the cleanest bathroo
Have been here several times and am always impressed with the menu. Most recent stop my wife and I split a crab cakes appetizer which was good, it had an exceptional mustard sauce accompaniment. My wife had a chicken with asian style noodle dish wish she loved, I have chicken satay with the best peanut sauce I have ever had.Desert was a shared order of lava style fudge cake, my wife said it was perfect. Our server was very friendly and efficient, but a little unsure of the menu. That will change the longer she is there. Now the "bad news" this is not a cheap eats kind of place, you are paying more, but there is a reason. The food is excellent, this really is a get what you pay for kind of place. One warning, the dishes can be blistering hot, they will tone it down, just need to be aware. The menu lists the food that is hot so be ready.Tom,Thank you so much for the great review! We are always ready to please your palate every time. We can't wait to see you next time!-The Basil Team
