Whether you love good Thai food or just want an adventure where you're guaranteed to get delicious food even if you don't know exactly how to pronounce it, Isan Thai should be your next stop.The unassuming store front in a strip mall hides a secret. Behind the front door lies tempting aromas, interesting decor and a gracious Thai service team. The menu is a good balance of being extensive enough to offer a good range of options but small enough to allow the kitchen to prepare everything well and have the freshest ingredients on hand. After having wonderful meals here on multiple occasions, even the less adventurous eaters in my family feel comfortable trying random things to order because they know whatever plate arrives will be delicious.

It was a hot day, so I passed on the pho, and I wanted a vietnamese sandwich, but no luck they do not serve them. Instead I ordered a chicken and ginger stir fry which had exactly chicken and ginger, no other veggies, no color, no garnish on the plate---just a monotone stir fry. It tasted fine, though I had to add copious siracha. We are fortunate to have other vietnamese places in sarasota, and I would recommend each of them over pho cali.

We frequent this location because the food and wait staff are always great at this particular restaurant. On our last visit for Mother's Day, we did have an issue with some gift cards we purchased over the holidays. For some reason, the cashier was telling us they were not valid. We were quite upset as we knew we had paid for them and that they had not been used yet. The manager, Ori Gutierrez went out of her way to make sure things were made right and the mistake was fixed to our satisfaction. Thank you and keep up the good work!
