Nosh Indian Bistro at Wanda plaza tongzhou in Beijing serving Indian Mexican fusion cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
This place is located close to some residential suburbs but is going to be far off if you are planning a commute from the business districts. The food itself was ok but the starters/appetizers were terrible. We ordered some paneer roll (can't recollect the name) but it was awful (it was kind of sweet and bland). We opted for a vegetarian option but the curry was nothing great either. The spices weren;t infused thoroughly. The only thing we loved eating were the rotis. I'd probably never return to this place only because they charge extra for everything. The biryani didn't come with raita aor any sides so we asked for some raita, which was billed extra. the mushroom were curry wasn't delicious at all so we asked for some pickle and they charged us extra for the spoonful of pickle, we ordered some extra chutney for the appetizers and they billed us extra for that. They also charged us extra for the tissues (you would need tissues because we couldn't spot a sink to wash our hands). It would have been better if they had told us that these items are chargeable before serving because the pickle and raita weren't a dish in in itself but just spoonfuls of it. In all, i wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't have an alternative. The place itself is located on the upper level of a nice shopping complex and the decor is beautiful but the food was definitely a disappointment! PRO TIP: Wouldn't recommend ANY of their appetizers/starters (at least the vegetarian ones).Dear patron,Let me first say sorry for your dissatisfaction. As your comments, I have realized that you were looking for raita as complimentary with biryani, which is not indicate in menu.Raita and pickles are side dish as a la carte order. I believe you understand us who is serving imported all Indian ingredients including pickles should be charged for local and travellers. Our paneer croquettes is mild and melted taste as its combined with mozzarella cheese and veggies but I definitely would understand your strong palate taste as i am indian too.We do have many others starter like vegan pakora and onion bhaji, which would be better choice for Indian taste.Let me serve you again with more strong and spicy taste for your next visit. Thanks again.

We had to eat American one day and this place looked so good. The Ambience is American.Pulled Pork, Pork Ribs, brisket sandwich plates, Chicken Burger , we ordered our favourites and some beer.Enjoyed the food .Two things could be improved, the time to get the second beer was too much .There was no foreign manager and sometimes we found it difficult to make our chinese waiters understand. The chinese waiters though a bit slow were available. The music put on was American.Decent food and Decent restaurant.

We left the forbidden city through the back exit and decided to walk around a lake we saw on the map.Since it was lunch time and we were very hungry, we decided to stop at the first decent place we would find. This place is a mix of restaurant during the day and a bar in the evening and apparently they even have live music based on the instruments we saw on a small stage. It serves not only Chinese food but also Thai. You will also find German wheat beer for sale.We decided to order Chinese this time and everything we got was just delicious, freshly made and really tasty. The service was efficient and attentive. The only thing we did not like is that the waiter kept clearing his throat all the time, but apparently this is cultural since we've heard it everywhere here in China.

This is a great vegetarian Buddhist 'fake meat' place. You can get a large meal for $4 (Y30) a person. The menu is in clear English. Though the wait staff speaks little English, pointing to the menu works just fine. Even my friends skeptical of all things
My Chinese colleagues took us here for an extensive meal here, 19 dishes in total. There were 2 dozen of us. Nearly all dishes had a 'meat' name, such as vegetarian duck, ham, eel, mutton, fish, etc. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. If you did not know it was a vegetarian restaurant you could almost believe you were eating meat dishes. anormally i do not go to vegetarian eating places but would happily return here again. Well worth it.
