If you want a fancy restaurant, don't go here! If you want an excellent buffet or excellent order off the menu food...THIS IS THE PLACE! I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food, and this place was great. We got the buffet...hot, spicy, mild, sweet/sour, beef, chicken...they had it all! I ordered a side of fried shrimp and it was good too. The only down side, I didn't get any cookies at the end of my meal...I missed that, but the food ruled! Friendly, friendly, friendly. If it makes a difference, a group of young men came in speaking Chinese and wolfed down all the food...that should be a good omen!

We were really looking forward to a good new dining experience at Jade China. One of the four of us had tried it and highly recommended it. Unfortunately, she couldn't join us today, so the three of us went ahead and tried it. The restaurant is very dark and tucked into a mini-mall. The menu has a lot of choices and a large set of lunch combos at a reasonable price. But you get what you pay for. None of the dishes were outstanding. The egg drop soup was okay, the egg roll was fine. The Mongolian beef was hidden under a mountain of brown onions, not green ones. The Lemon Chicken was a bit dry. The Sweet and sour Chicken was probably the best of the lot. Our waiter was friendly, but not attentive. One of our group had a chipped glass. When she called his attention to it, he took it away, but he did not replace it and he never refreshed the other two waters. At the end of the meal, our half empty soup bowls were still on the table. He had not cleared them away. We don't know what happened from the time our friend went and when we patronized the restaurant. But none of us plan to return.

It used to be a sandwich shop, but now it serves fantastic poki. WOW!POKI!Unique, quaint and very special! Blink and you'll miss it. just chill on the patio on either side and enjoy. My 5 stars are not for the ambience, but totally for the quality of what you get for lunch. It is fantastic! "I SHALL RETURN!!!!!"

We've visited a couple of times. The food was very fresh and well prepared, but we were seeking the impossible - we really miss Tenko in Irvine for 'family' type Japanese food. No complaints, but we are still looking for a place that has a few bento options for lunch (even on the weekend) and that doesn't force shellfish (my wife is very allergic) as an option. So, good food, good service, reasonable prices, but just not what we were seeking.

Iâm not a âknee jerkâ 5 star giving diner but this place earns it !A beautiful, serene location in a garden of trees , shrubs and flowers sits this small Vietnamese-bistro. An old California architectured building with large open beams and sculptured walkways opens to French pained glass doors and classical chamber music inside of here. Less than a dozen tables ( half of them booths the first thing I noticed was how immaculately clean this restaurant is. New slate floors and gleaming tables I canât believe itâs been here 4 years. The food is absolutely the best Iâve had short of Saigon. Generous Pho with a broth to die for. Fresh, fresh, fresh veggies and their hot tea is a jasmine the likes of the best the orient can offer. Proud of his food the owner spent time with each table. â Iâve made Pho all my life and this is the bestâ A lofty statement before I received food but an absolute fact once I ate it.
