Today I went by their new building. The food is still fine and the staff pleasant and helpful. Their new drive through is a pain (they didnt move the jerk ahead if me so had to wait and wait just to place my order). The place to order inside is right next to the front door....so, a bit of a cluster when occupied by a lot of people. I liked their old digs better.

This little restaurant gives the option of creating an Asian "bowl" with choices of proteins, vegetables, starches and seasonings. There are quite a few choices, and you can see all of the options as they create your bowl. We thought our choices tasted good. It was a nice light meal. It would be ideal for a vegetarian. We asked for kimchi on the side. We were glad that we did, since it didn't measure up to the kimchi we eat in Hawaii. The Kansas version had a strong vinegar taste and the spices were too pungent. Other than that, the food was good, and the service was great.

We chose this place because of good reviews (authentic Korean fare!) on TripAdvisor and near our hotel. The restaurant is a converted fast food building with eclectic flea market/second hand shop decor, tableware, and furniture. You counter order with really friendly staff (family and young women) and food is delivered pretty promptly to the table. The bean curd pancake and Bimbab vegetarian stone bowl with cinnamon ginger cold tea was very good. Pricing was fair, but not cheap. Try the place for its friendliness and ethnic variety unexpected in the heart of Kansas.

I usually have good service st Daimaru, but today was a total disappointment. I felt that the waitress didnât care if we were there or not. Super slow. Took 1-1/2 hours for lunch. I only get a 1 hour lunch....so thanks Daimaru....I have to make up my time or take a write up. I wonât be back for lunch any time soon, if ever.
