Tropical Sushi proved to be a success as a POPUP Kitchen appearing around Brighton for the past year. Now you can finds us in our own permanent location. Our menu is a mix of traditional sushi blended with outside the box sushi with a Latin flair. At Trop
To start the place is falling apart with the amount you spend here at least you hope for a nice service and good condition facilities, bathroom dirty, the crew isn't organized at all, poor local, food taste ok, but the size of the rolls are a joke for the prize, 3 pcs 5.15 and the piece of the roll looks like a coin. would never come back.

This has been on my to do list for some time and Iâm glad Iâve finally been. The food was brilliant and sitting at the bar added to the ambience of the quirky setting. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming with every dish delicious. We particularly liked the Korean fried chicken and the cauliflower but it was all great. Iâm giving this five stars, but there was one minor issue. The front of house chap is pretty rude. Dismissive and a little aloof doesnât give the best first impression but this was a minor blot on an otherwise exemplary meal.

This is a tiny restaurant, tucked away in kemptown. There are only around 20 covers, so booking is essential.Staff very welcoming and friendly. There is a very extensive menu to cover most palates. The spare ribs were very flavoursome, and my half roast chicken was really too much food, but absolutely delicious . Pad thai was also wonderful. And the prices are amazing. Very nice evening and thoroughly recommended

Goemen is an absolutely fantastic little Ramen Cafe. It felt very authentic, with a simple menu suggesting that they have confidence in the relatively narrow range of dishes on offer, & a cafe style dining experience. No frills, just great Japanese food. Choose your meat, or veggie or vegan alternative, and they come in a miso or stock based soup. Our 3 year old daughter LOVED it, & enjoyed slurping her way through a big bowl of noodles.

Planet India is a delicious Indian restaurant in Brighton near the base of Hanover hill. It offers superb home-style vegetarian Indian dishes and a range of craft and unusual beers.Planet India never really seems to be open but is actually accessible 6 days a week though not for long of an evening. It seems to be quite well known despite the tucked away location set back from the road. The outside is not the best with a slightly garish signage. All that belies what is surprisingly a magnificent place to eat.Inside the decor is a bit odd with lots of iconography of people like Bob Marley and references to his smoking habits. The music is similar and doesn't really seem to fit with the ambience or the tasty food.Service is fine. Not especially engaging but with good attention and food arriving in decent time. The range of beers is surprisingly good. All sorts of styles are catered for with a seeming preference for bottles from a Scottish provider. A heather beer went down really well. The food is fabulous. It has to be said that this is high quality eating. The food here is not at all the standard Indian fare but really excellent and well crafted spice combinations with terrific layering.Simple things like samosa are homemade style rather than the mass produced rubbish. Really well cooked and nice taste. The Dhal Bhel Puri is amazing. It has a combination of both flavour and texture that makes every mouthful delicious. Well worth its reputation. For a main course main options look good but the Mombai Potato Curry is a decent way to go. The curry has plenty of coconut milk in it but is still flavoursome and spicy. Not hot in a traditional Bombay Potato style but layered and meaningful. Rice portions are oversized so not necessarily one per person. Poppadoms are ok though the mango chutney is a winner. Price is reasonable for this level of quality with the meal clocking in around £20 per head. For all the creative and excellent vegetarian eateries in Brighton, Planet India is one not to miss. It is a remarkably good curry house serving up delicious home/street style food.

Moshimo is one of Brighton's most popular restaurants, with a fiercely loyal customer base: 35% of its customers dine at the restaurant at least once a week. They visit regularly because they know the staff, and know how good the food is.The restaurant's
I went to Moshimo after the 2019 vegan challenge was advertised on my Facebook feed. Although Iâd heard good things about the restaurant, I had no idea that it offered plant-based as well as sustainable fish dishes. The challenge final was fantastic, the best vegan culinary experience Iâve ever had. The tastes and presentations were amazing and scoring each dish was great fun. Iâm now eager to go back and experience more of Moshimoâs own food and will certainly get involved in the 2020 challenge. #moshimovegan

It's an Indian restaurant with a different style of cooking, everything is freshly prepared on a day to day to maintain a quality and taste.
Dinner on Friday night at Bayleaf in St James Street was a disappointing affair. Our waiter looked like heâd rather be somewhere else & got our poppadom order wrong - he brought us 2 instead of the 4 we ordered. Not a great start. The other waiters were quite smiley - just ours was having a bad day.Food arrived - chicken madras, vegetable dhansak, garlic naan & pilau rice.Very average. My vegetable dansak was Not full of flavour, nor hot & sour- more like a mildly spicy vegetable stew- but the only vegetables were potatoes & cauliflower.Disappointing really.Wonât rush back

We came here for dinner before a show having only just learned about it online. Manjus is exclusively vegetarian (as is most authentic Indian cuisine), and whilst we are not vegetarian we thought we couldn't pass up a chance to come here after seeing the reviews. We chose 3 small plates and 2 small curries and all I can say is wow!!!These dishes are spectacular, and like no Indian food I've ever eaten here in the UK. Every dish has a plethora of flavours, a taste sensation - they are true culinary masterpieces! You can tell that so much love is spilled into them food. You can see it in the presentation, taste it in the flavour, and feel it in the atmosphere of the restaurant. All of the staff (family members) are extremely proud of what they do and it is so refreshing to see!We enjoyed absolutely everything we tried and walked away stuffed! Well done Manjus. We'll be back again for lunch!Dear NivanaMee,Thank you so much for the wonderful review!Manju's is our passion, we love our little restaurant to bits. It's fantastic our love and passion comes across to our guests- your comments makes the whole team try even harder so thank you! We'd love for you to join us for lunch, hope to see you soon.Thank you,RegardsManju's
