Never tried Vietnamese food so we decided to go here. Very cute and cozy ambience, sat down at our table and were attended by Bruce with a big smile. He told us his name and handed the menu to us. We ordered and paid for our food and within no time the chefs whipped up our meals and the server got the the food to our table. No doubt it was delicious and the portion was massive. Would definitely recommend to try this place!

We always provide Fresh & Healthy High Quality Japanese Food. We do our best to offer your 'special request menu' if you have specific dietary requirement. Please do not hesitate to ask our friendly staff.
Fast, affordable, and delicious. This is definitely a pleasant surprise! It's owned by a Japanese family so rest assured that it's as close to authentic Japanese cuisine as you can get in Rotorua. Seating inside is a bit limited, as are the tableware, but takeaway is a good option to get your sushi fix. Maybe not the best restaurant in town, but definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic Thai cuisine in "East Street" Rotorua
We came in on a busy Saturday night, got seated and our order taken reasonably quickly. Starters came out in a reasonable amount of time.Waited about 15 minutes after we finished the starter plates to be cleared away and well over an hour for the mains to come out afterwards. The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait.We really want to apologise for making you wait so long, it might be because of busy saturday night. We are glad to hear that you still enjoy your meal. We will make sure that you do not have to wait for so long. We hope to see you again. Thank you. Wild Rice Thai Cuisine

We were both quite unfamiliar with dumplings and the waitress explained everything to us. I read somewhere that the place was vegetarian friendly, but only found two vegetarian dishes and they were quite nice. It was very cold, so we got some heaters to keep us warm.

We had lunch at Yamato Japanese restaurant. We had set menu- there are different options you can choose including sashimi / chicken / fish etc. Food quality is good, sashimi is fresh n chicken Karagae is good. Pork cutlet is not so good. Japanese style decoration, they have sushi bar seatings as well as proper dining tables. No wifi . Overall, recommend for people who are into Japanese food.

Our favourite curry is the Massaman, tonight we had the Slow cooked beef massaman, it was delicious, one of the best massamans we have had. the service was excellent and fast, the place was not too busy (we were early - 7pm) and the only thing that spoilt it - screaming kids! (why can Kiwi parents not control their brats - or eave them at home!) Anyway, we will definitely go again - and take friends!

Rotorua's most awarded restaurant with awesome atmosphere and flawless service.
We are regular visitors to this restaurant. The food is consistently of high standard and the staff are so professional and friendly. We get the non-vegetarian banquet and that covers all corners of the menu. Takeaways are always high standard too. Highly recommend.
