A family affair here. Everything made from scratch on site. The knowledgeable son waited on us last week with great service and food. He made really helpful suggestions and we tried things we had not had before. Not a fancy place, but the starters and classic Indian dishes were great. Vegy dishes could be made spicy. Breads were really good too. Limited wines available.

Came here for a family takeaway, which was ready 10 minutes after we asked (although they did offer a beer which I declined). Popadums were crisp and tasty, although there was no fresh coriander in the onion salad. Rice and peshwari naan were excellent, as was my vegetable balti (full of tamarind) and a mushroom bhaji. Vegetable rogan josh and korai were a bit bland.

Great food, nice and fresh, lovely atmosphere, lots of vegetarian options, would definitely recommend, one of the best restaurants, if not the best at West Quay waterfront. The first with an official Chinese Vegan Menu, as well as our traditional Chinese cuisine dishes from Cantonese to Szechuan Style
Seven of us enjoyed a lovely meal here in comfortable and intimate surroundings. We chose a mid-range set menu. The proprietor was very accommodating and was quite happy to customise the dishes to suit individual preferences. As we were a reasonably large party an extra dish was also added free of charge. All courses and dishes were well prepared, very well presented with very generous portions.

Ten of us dined at a lovely round table. Weâd been before so knew that theyâd serve us their âUnlimited Buffetâ. They brought a huge platter of mixed starters, followed by duck with pancakes. We then each chose a main course with a side dish. It was excellent value at £16 each. Service was efficient and friendly. Weâll be back next year ...!

Indian Restaurant in Romsey, Hampshire//
Two people for evening meal, pompadoms were soft not crisp, starter was very nice fresh cooked shish kebab, onion baji sheek kebab. Main meal not edible, chicken tikka masala tasted nothing like what it should tepid in flavour and gloopy with hard pre cooked chicken. Duck kadi was tasteless and the duck was very dark chunks of pre cooked duck cold and the consistency of school erasers. yet this place is full of people eating this sub standard food . maybe its a captive audience has the other Indian restaurant in Romsey is worse than this one .Hello,I am sorry to hear about your experience, we always check back with our customers and correct any issues with the meal or service. I cannot see any customer complaints over the past couple of weeks regarding Chicken Tikka massala or duck dishs. All our meals are cooked to order and Tikka dishes do tend to be slightly tougher due to the nature of cooking style (Tandoori oven cooking) Natraj has been operating in Romsey since 2010, and we have a good reputation for serving quality food and service. Like all business occasionally we get it wrong and we learn from the feedback. Thank you

We came to this little gem on recommendation from a friend and it's certainly worth it! We called them before 5.30pm which was opening time and the service was prompt, efficient and the results very tasty. perhaps a little on the expensive side. We paid nearly £60 for 6 mains and a couple of sides which didnt go far in our group of 6. Some of the vegetables were huge and a bit underdone but we enjoyed it anyway :-)Hi SpacedOutMum, Thank you for your lovely review, we are glad you enjoyed your evening with us here at Koh Thai. I have passed on your comments regarding the food to our executive chefs to ensure all dishes are served and prepared to the strict recipes we follow. We hope to see you again in the future, Many thanks The Romsey Team

We visit many restaurants, and over time some change hands, others drop their standards and their quality resulting in us having to find somewhere else to eat. However, this is the ONLY restaurant in Romsey we have visited over a period of 12 years and the food and service is consistently good. It never changes, never has a â bad dayâ and we have never had to complain, not once.Well done! keep it up.Thank you for your review. This is now our 19th year and we continually try to improve the dining experience at the restaurant and it appears that it hasn't gone unnoticed. I do stress to the team that we do have to be consistently excellent with every aspect of our food and service as there are plenty of other food establishments in Romsey. We all hope to welcome you back again soon.
