The town rests on the mouth of the Peconic River, from which it derives its name. Since 1727, Riverhead has been the county seat of Suffolk County. The smaller hamlet of Riverhead lies within it, and is the town's principal economic center. The town is 166 miles (267 km) southwest of Boston via the Orient Point-New London Ferry, and is 76 miles (123 km) northeast of New York City.

Went into this funny called restaurant without knowing what to expect just because I was hungry, got one restaurant added to the list of places that i'll definitely come back to! the food was amazing and the staff was great too which believe me, really matters when you are eating in a place!

We were hesitant to try it, as it's next to a Big Lots in a not-so-impressive strip mall. (Fresh fish is pretty important in Sushi). We were very surprised. The inside is much, much nicer than the outside, the staff is friendly (although not super in English), and the sushi was very good (and very fresh). We sat at the Sushi bar, and only had Sushi, although the Benihana-style steakhouse grill/tables looked good too.They included a freebie appetizer, and they were very helpful. We're in the area a lot, and we consider this to be a great find. I've read some bad reviews, but we never saw anything bad. No one tried to add a tip to our bill, etc. We'll go back.

Went on a Monday night (6:30 PM) after Splish Splash and went with a large group. Large room like most buffets and almost everything was cold/warm/just coming up to temperature. Looked as if it would have stayed the same unless people came in. Then, during the meal they brought out hot dishes and the food was better. But during the time we were there from 6:30 - 7:30 there were a total of 3 people who came in. If ANY chinese buffet is good, a lot of people show up. Staff was very nice and friendly, but this place is on life support
