We moved to Richmond in the early 70's, and ate at Tsing Tao from their beginning. A nice lady owned and operated it, sometimes had her little children to help, and the food was remarkable. The War Su Gai was an entire chicken breast with a little breading, sliced, served on top of sliced lettuce with a tasty brown sauce. Best food ever.Fast forward to today. A young man is at the register on his phone, grunts when we come in, takes our order and money, and goes back to his phone. Our food is brought from the kitchen, and we are hungry. My War Su Gai is a bunch of chicken nuggets with more breading than chicken, a non descript sauce, and lots of rice. My husband's General Tso's chicken is the same but with a different sauce.The space is about half of what it used to be - less dining room space, and mostly carry out business done here now.We most likely won't return, which is sad.

We frequent this place. The food is delicious even if it is buffet! They have a good variety and everyone is always more than satisfied. They are reasonably priced, friendly and clean. My only suggestion would be different desserts. I don't care for their options. They have a wide variety, but nothing that is outstanding. I avoid the ice cream because too many children fix their own:(

This food is excellent for fast takeout and very good to sit down in. I like the fried rice it's very good, no need to ask for extra meat. Won ton soup is very tasty!

Made my first visit here since their opening in November. Had heard lots of good about them from friends who have become regulars. We began with spring rolls as an appetizer that came with a zingy sweet chili sauce for dipping. For our main dishes, we both opted for hibachi chicken, accompanied by noodles and mixed vegetables. All were terrific! Friend had always wanted to try vegetable tempura so she added that to our order. They were hot, fresh and crunchy and came with a tangy dipping sauce. Though the food was served on plain foam plates, the servings were ample and the flavors delicious.Overall, we were quite impressed. Aside from the great food, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the interior was clean and attractive. I definitely plan to get back soon.

We had a wonderful FD dinner at Koto! We opted for the dining room because we wanted a more intimate dining experience. The food was excellent. We all ordered hibachi steak. The food was cooked just as ordered...some well, some medium well...all were perfect. We have never had anything other than great food here. Being locals, it is our go-to place for special occasions and when we just crave their excellent!

Thai smile is owned and operated by native Thai Landers. They are jovial, considerate, humble and love remembering people's names and what they like. Even the worst thing I have ever ordered here was still good! My preference is the Chicken Pad Thai, but I like the triple chicken and many others. This place is a must stop if you want to break free from chain restaurants!
