This restaurant was recommended by a local friend. The service was polite and reasonably efficient. The menu is an unusual blend of standard Thai dishes plus dishes with a modern or French touch to them. All dishes were tasty from entrees to main courses. Prices are a little expensive for Rennes, although food quality and taste compensates for this. There is also a good range of drinks available. Recommended for a good meal in Rennes

The cuisine of Southeast Asia has its origins in the works and it's all these little dishes, mainly Thai, that chawp Shop offers a canteen-like a small heart of downtown Bangkok at Rennes.
Food maybe not as spicy as in Thailand but still tasty. Good range of dishes but not a massively overloaded menu. Had salad and curry - all good. Inexpensive for four diners (158) with three courses and drinks. Couldn't book at Chez Meh (sister restaurant) but here turned out a great alternative.Recommend !

The restaurant is owned and run by a Japanese-French family. This is the real deal. The decor is quite sub-dued.We had two dinner menus for â¬23 each, which consisted of salad, soup and sushi. The seafood was all fresh. Service was top shelf. Dinner for two with drinks, tax and tip was about â¬53. This is really inexpensive considering how good the meal was.Think about making reservations.

Welcome to "Le Petit Hanoi" - the taste of Vietnam It is a joy to share with you the traditional and popular Vietnamese recipes that you can not find somewhere else at Rennes and in France
We have eaten here or ordered takeout several times. Le Petit Hanoi is excellent. Every dish is very tasty especially the Bo Bun. Great service inside. They are very friendly.

It is great to find this restaurant in the heart of the rennes. The foods are very good and delicious. The restaurant is unique in rennes. The authentic Nepalese and Tibetan dishes with warm hospitality. My best restaurant in the rennes. The place is small. So have to book in advance especially in weekends.

The menu looks great, with various meats and specialties to choose from. The rice and noodles with vegetables were bland, with few fresh herbs and spices. The meat felt cheap and the tofu in the veggie option was both tasteless and overcooked. We were quite disappointed as the menu looked so promising... The nems and dumplings were fine, though the fillings were not very tasty, and the dips had been forgotten. Maybe we should have tried the soups, which may have been better ?From times to times as we waited for our order, our nostrils were met with an horrid smell. We realised it came from the fridge that is under the counter, from where the employee was taking the home made teas (we didn't drink them). We really enjoy Thai food, which is very spicy and flavorful, so it was quite a let down.

We were looking for a laundrymat and spotted this small Thai-Lao restaurant in a small street. Thinking that it was be empty, as Renne was practically deserted, pubs were empty. Lo and behold, to our amazement, the restaurant was full. We bought take-away, and the food was surprising good. Spoke to the young lady and found out the chef was the mum. Her brother has another outlet in the town. However, I will go for mum's cooking anytime! :)

We just got back from having dinner here tonight and it was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken panang and the beef massaman curry, both were some of the best thai dishes we've had, very aromatic and flavoursome, we will definitely be returning next time we're in Rennes. The atmosphere is also nice, it's lovely cosy restaurant and very welcoming, highly recommend!

We literally stumbled on this lovely restaurant today when stopping for lunch on a quick visit to Rennes. The food was great and the waiter/owner(?) was tremendously friendly and sweet. The meals we had were beautifully cooked, very clean food (so a good chef too) - a wonderful break from so much cream sauce on previous days. The meals at other tables looked very good too! Thank you Parfums d'Asie.
