Purmerend ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The city is surrounded by polders, such as the Purmer, Beemster and the Wormer. The city became the trade center of the region but the population grew relatively slowly. Only after 1960 did the population start to grow from around 10,000 to around 80,000 by the 2010s. From the 1960s onwards, Purmerend has seen major expansion and continues to do so. This expansion has turned Purmerend into a commuter town; many inhabitants of Purmerend (14,200 in 2011), work, go to school or spend their leisure time in Amsterdam. Purmerend is part of the Randstad, one of the largest conurbations in Europe.

We have been in this restaurant before and are sorry to say that the quality of the food has not improved. They serve Chinese dishes with a high percentage of Dutch taste. The staff is friendly the food is served promptly. Prices are friendly.

Wij hebben hier met zân vieren gegeten. Het restaurant ligt op de Koemarkt en is gevestigd in twee pandjes. Het is gezellig ingericht met Japanse bomen. Het restaurant is een Aziatisch restaurant, er wordt o.a. sushi en Aziatische specialiteiten geserveerd. Het werkt zoals bij een sushi restaurant. Per keer geef je 3 gerechten per persoon op en je kunt onbeperkt doorgaan. Als je met zân vieren bent is het leuk om te delen. Dan kun je zoveel mogelijk proeven. Wij vonden het eten uitstekend, lekker knapperig en warme gerechten zo van de grill of uit de oven. Vooral de St Jacobsschelpen, de Sashimi mix, de garnalen kroketjes, de eendenborstfilet, de biefrolletjes met kaas en de tempuragarnalen vonden we heerlijk. En als nagerecht hadden we ijs, brownies, crème brulee en gemengde vruchten. De bediening is snel en erg vriendelijk. Tonight is een goede keus voor een geslaagde avond.

We found this restaurant on the way home. It has big room inside. The vegetarian food is oke, it could be better. I'm sure it's a good restaurant as we saw a lot of people were coming to order and take it home

Great all you can eat option with plenty of sushi dishes to choose from. Visited with family, you get 5 rounds on the all you can eat but we went with dessert on the fourth round.

Went to Purmerend to check out a "pasar malam" in Purmerend and did not expect to stumble to this restaurant. The taste is tuned to Dutch more than Indonesian. Guess not many Indonesians wander to Purmerend anyway

We hebben hier erg lekker gegeten. Het eten is erg lekker en snelle bediening.Mooie manier van bestellen via de IPad, zo zie je ook makkelijk wat je al besteld hebt. Drinken en toetjes staan allemaal op de digitale kaart om te bestellen.Vriendelijk en erg attent personeel, aanrader in purmerend.

Wok restaurant serves great food. The buffet selection is wide and there is something for everyone. We had dinner there and unlike most buffets where one dish is nice and the other isn't so good, Wok is consistent. Everything we all had was very good. We were a family of 3 adults and 4 children, and the feedback was the same... great food. I am not sure how much it is per head, but for all 7 of us, including 2 drinks each, our total bill was EUR134. The staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a playroom for the kids, where they can play and watch television, in between or after their meal, which was quite handy for our group.
