The plastic tableware should have given us a hint we were in for an unfortunate so-so meal and we were not surprised. Although the staff was very enthusiastic (probably just happy someone was patronizing the place), the food was bland and totally lacking in presentation. You see I forgot to make a reservation Valentine's night at Thai Basil (it was desercedly packed!!) so we walked across the Park to try the new place. Big mistake. My spouse still hasn't forgiven me.

But I think it is mediocre at best, slop at worst. It is a huge buffet. Lots of choices, most just bad. All the staples are there, chow mein, sweet and sour, kung pao, Mongolian beef, prawns, pot stickers, even sushi and deserts. It is just all bland, tasteless, stuff. Pot stickers are worse than those frozen ones you stick in a microwave. Maybe it is hard to keep pot stickers fresh in steam trays, but these are disgusting. The hot snd sour soup is bland and watery. The shrimp and prawns were frozen. It is all a huge mess and what Americans might expect from a cheap mass production Chinese kind of place in a run down mall somewhere. This is in an aging strip mall, so it fits. Always crowded, so I guess people eat this cheap crap up. My teenage nephews like all the "variety" but they also like McDonalds, so... But it really is just garbage warmed up and sitting in steam trays. The lines of narrow tables add to the mass produced feel. The cheesy decor does not help. Bad, bad, bad.

Traveling with my husband, Steve and his brother and wife in our RVs and stopped in Paso Robles, CA to visit Leon and Cindy (friends of my in laws). Leon suggested we all go to The Naked Fish for dinner. Because Iâm a picky eater (yes, I admit it!) I looked up the restaurant on my iPad and...surprise itâs a Sushi restaurant . We LOVE good sushi! Really well thought-out Website. Had their entire menu on their website making it very easy to make preliminary choices and they even listed Soy wrappers as an alternative to Nori (as much as I love Sushi, I hate Nori). We went early (5:30 PM) and were seated right away. We all ordered a round of drinks and rolls-all of which exceeded my expectations. Presentation of food was beautiful and the combination of ingredients masterfully executed. Our waiter was extremely personable and paid attention to what we all ordered and made insightful and wonderful suggestions on their Speciality Rolls and Sashimi offerings which I would never have tried had he not made the suggestions (picky eater problem-solved). All in all a very wonderful eating experience. I highly recommend this restaurant- they had the entire package - quality fish, experienced Sushi Chefs, personable/knowledgeable waitstaff. The Naked Fish...thank you for an awesome evening!

Expected something special from the reviews read, but perhaps we didn't manage our expectations well. This was OK food, plentiful, reasonably priced, but the stir fry noodles we tried were drowning in liquid on the serving platter. The noodles looked exactly like you would get in a package of Top Raman, definitely not what we expected. The place was crowded, and seems to drive business.Don't expect authentic noodle house. This is a neighborhood hole in the wall, and good if you are hungry for something different. The BBQ (Korean) ribs were very tasty, and the Teriyaki beef looked good, but avoid the stir fry.Service OK. Ample parking. Not much for ambiance.

The staff was very attentive and our food arrived in a very timely manner. The food was fresh, the portions were very generous, probably the best Chinese food I have ever had . The ambiance was very nice. The prices were reasonable.Everything about this restaurant in my opinion was excellent.

Yanagi is pretty consistent. This trip I had Shrimp/Veggy Tempura and baked Green Mussels -- de-lish! My wife had a Rainbow and Hungry Roll -- also good. They do close lunch at 2pm, so your travel plans must work if you're on the road. Parking is a challenge in downtown Paso. Work your magic!

This daily run shop has consistently excellent curries and perfectly prepared rice. We love the lunch specials. The portions-are perfect. You get a soup made with perfectly seasoned broth and salad (excellent salad dressing) appetizer while you wait for your meal. The vegetarian options have larger portions of veggies and while the veggie are prepared with rather large pieces of beguiles they are perfectly cooked, never over done.

Consistently excellent food, friendly service, and a comfortable setting (with free parking), Goshi is our favorite place for Japanese food. We find that more food is included in their lunch and dinner combinations as compared to other restaurants that are primarily a la carte. Highly recommended!

I could not have picked a better location. Food was excellent, service professional and friendly. The silverware were clean! The ambience allowed for a feel safe, welcoming private and yet communal setting. The location is really good in downtown Paso. Parking can be a little tricky but you might need the short walk back to your car after the good large portion size meals. Was my second time here. I will surely do it again
