There are many Korean restaurants in the area. I read through Yelp's reviews and decided to go for this one for casual lunch. Immediately sat down, beef broth in thermo and Poland spring bottle water was served and it is free. Famous Korean cold noodle in beef broth is so good and the portion is big. Next time I would go for small size. Side dishes are not bad as well. Most of cold noodle dishes are under 10. There is no tofu pot in the menu though. Definitely recommend this one for casual lunch.

If you like dumplings or noodles, Myung Dong will hit the spot if you're in the area. The dumplings taste clean and flavorful. The various knife noodle options have fresh ingredients and seem pretty healthy. The portions are also huge. FYI, there's also free parking in the back of the complex.

Right across the George Washington Bridge over to Fort Lee, NJ is where you can get good Korean food at affordable prices. We found this restaurant serving classic soft-tofu soup, and also some bibimbop and bulgogi dishes. The inside was a good size, with a good amount of seating. They had a kids play room next to the dining room, and they had a monitor that shows the live feed of the room. So, you could leave your kids in there while you eat at the table peacefully, knowing (seeing) your kid is safe.We both ordered Soon Tofu combo, and I ordered Spicy Pork Bulgogi Combo. The tofu soup had a choice of Assorted Seafood & Beef or Vegetable tofu soup. You can change the type of tofu soup with an additional cost if you want. I changed mine to just Beef tofu soup. The soup bowl was not as big, but then again, having it with meat dish and rice would be more than enough. When ordering Soon tofu, you need to choose the level of spiciness. I went with âMildâ instead of âMedium.â The spiciness was good, not very spicy. The Beef Soon Tofu was pretty good, it had a good amount of beef in it. We cracked open the raw egg that came with the appetizer and let it cook in the hot soup. The Spicy Pork Bulgogi was excellent, the marinate was simply delicious! Pretty good portion and it was the perfect comfort food.My husband went with LA Gochujang Pork Combo. He change the tofu soup to be Seafood Soon Tofu. The broth had very distinctive seafood broth flavor to it, very different from their beef soon tofu. It was tasty and my husband enjoyed every bite of it.LA Gochujang Pork is very similar to Spicy Pork Bulgogi. The main difference is that the meat used in the LA Gochujang Pork is more fatty than the bulgogi. The flavor itself was almost the same as the bulgogi. The service was ok, they were efficient but not overly friendly. Maybe they are not too used to non-Korean customers? They were nice enough though. The food was great and I thought the price was good when you consider all the food that you are receiving. I would like to go back again to get some more of their soon tofu!
Where to Eat in Palisades Park: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Palisades Park is known for high quality Korean food, so Chung Dam Dong has a lot of competition. During our visit, all of the patrons were Korean. It's an old fashioned Korean restaurant with very traditional decor. It's not like newer restaurants that take on a more contemporary feel. If you want traditional, authentic Korean food, this is a good place to start. Most of the servers speak Korean much better than the do English. The menu is an old, heavy leatherbound monstrosity. We ordered a spicy pork stone pot and two orders of hand cut noodle soup. Very tasty, very simple. Nothing complicated, but good ingredients. The side dishes were plentiful and the did also give us a large salad plate. Because we had two kids with us, the server gave us two orders egg souffle (usually one is complimentary). I definitely walked out of there fully stuffed! There are a few restaurants on the same street that are worth frequently, but add CDD to this list.

This place is da BOMB. Shabu Shabu can have a gigantic dynamic range of flavors and ShabuRo is with the program. They have like 30 sauces, many with vastly different flavor profiles. Something for everyone, if not, never go foodie surfing with that person again.Chicken cilantro dumplings and fatty beef resonated with me.Its a bit cafeteria like, donât let that deter you. Itâs romantic in an adventurist sort of way. I will 100% return, this place rocks.

he best soup dumpling you can't miss!!! Taste it , Like it! Our signature Bun is Xiao Long Bao, It is a type of steamed bun (baozi) from the Jiangnan region of China, especially associated with Shanghai and Wuxi. It is traditionally prepared in xiaolong,
Itâs tucked in a small corner of a Korean shopping plaza and looked very unassuming. But inside, the place is clean and the service excellent. The menu is self-explanatory with lots of illustrative pictures for the uninitiated. Obviously, a large variety of dumplings and noodle soups are available, but you could also select a number of other traditional Chinese/Korean dishes. You order by checking your selections off a list provided with the menu. We love our dumplings! The additional eggplant sautéed sweet and sour style was also excellent. No liquor license but BYO wine and beer could easily be obtained from nearby liquor stores. Prices are reasonable, and ample parking is available underground or street side. Background noise inside the restaurant was insignificant allowing for easy conversation. Highly recommended for outing with family, friends and businesses.

Found restaurant on Yelp after going to King Spa. No frills restaurant with limited menu. We both ordered stews. Super hot and yummy. Not much banchan but the kimchi was delicious. It's convenient and decent priced if you're in the area.

I can't rave enough about this place. I've been coming here for years, and am never disappointed. I usually opt for the Karakuchi Ramen, which has a strong kick (beware for those who can't handle their spices). It's very authentic, down to the Japanese cartoon-y music they play. Gyozas are very popular too, but I've found the Gyu-don and other rice bowl too small for $5.

Ever since we moved from the west coast, we really enjoyed coming to this restaurant. Generally, food is great and overall service is good. I can't say enough good things about this place overall. However, today's experience with the valet attendant was a big miss. Today was a nice and warm day hovering around 65F. There was a mandatory valet and we left the car key with the valet. After done eating, I gave a $1 tip for getting our car from 20 feet away in an empty parking lot. Was it too little? Maybe. I am not a bad tipper usually. But I didn't feel like giving more than that for how little it took for him to provide the "service". The valet attendant, standing 10 feet away, started to bash how little the tip was, lough enough for me to hear. He went on for good 1 min while I was loading the kids. I decided to confront him. He started going on and on about how he has two kids and has to work another job etc. Then he goes on saying $1 is a bad tip. Again, maybe it was not a good tip. However, I still don't think it justifies his attitude, and I definitely am not responsible for him having to work 2 jobs. There has to be some business arrangements between BakJung and the mandatory valet service, but as a customer, I really don't get the need for the valet service. I am going to find other restaurants so that I can avoid these kind of "service" / people.

Very crowded and bustling. The draw here to me is the wood coals they cook meat over with different dips. The additional plentiful small dishes come with the meal. Some are good and others are an acquired taste. Lots of kimchee. The meats are good. Not to worry about smoke cooking meat , but can get a bit warm.
