My favorite dish has been changed- the teriyaki tofu used to be bite-sized pieces of marinated tofu in a nice teriyaki sauce. This time the tofu was in 2x3 chunks, not marinated and very little sauce. The vegetables underneath had no teriyaki sauce at all. Before, the bento box included fruit, but not today. When I asked for extra sauce it took too long to arrive. My waiter was slow to take my order and didnât return after food was served until halfway through the meal.

While staying in Bangor our hotel desk clerk told us about this restaurant. We were surprised by the variety of the dishes, all hot and fresh. And the ones we tried were delicious. I love Chinese food and this one is on my list to go to during my next visit. The staff was really friendly and cleaned the table of our empty plates rapidly. The price was not too bad either $12.99 for the buffet

I went in with the intention of ordering just some regular fried menu items and going home and being satisfied. However, a last minute change I decided to eat in which I enjoyed all the way around. I had a friend of mine mention to me about asking them cooking you something traditional that is not on the menu. So, I mentioned that and she was very surprised and more than happy to do so. I had an amazing hot n sour soup and Chinese 5 spice beef. Beef very tender, hot, vegetables crisp, soup was some of the best I've had. Staff was very pleasant. I look forward to my next visit. I encourage others to pay this place a visit.

Although we had eaten at Thai Orchid in the past, we were pleasantly surprised by the changes. The food is much more varied and tastier than we remember it, the lighting is better, and the ambiance is much more high class.Of course, the prices are much higher than I remember, but the experience was distinctly worthwhile.Thai Orchard now challenges Yoshi in Brewer as the best Asian restaurant in the Bangor area.

If you live in or around Orono and haven't discovered the Thai Kitchen, you are missing out. They have a wide selection of dishes both vegetarian and with meat. You can choose the degree of spice you wish. The crab rangoons are to die for as are the curries. Yummy!
