It is situated on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, approximately 25 miles (40 km) north-east of Edinburgh. North Berwick became a fashionable holiday resort in the nineteenth century because of its two sandy bays, the East (or Milsey) Bay and the West Bay, and continues to attract holidaymakers. The best Cantonese restaurant we've visited
We ordered a takeaway meal form The Lucky House in June as part of celebrating a family birthday. Lucky for us indeed, as the proprietor, Tony, was working with his team in the kitchen on the Saturday evening we ordered. Our meal for four included fresh lobster with Cantonese spices, salt and pepper monkfish, pak choi (very good), lemon chicken, mongolian lamb, duck and pancakes and a portion of crispy duck as well. It was amongst the best of the many great meals we have had at the Lucky House over the many years that we have lived in North Berwick. Thank you!

This is a summer pop up bar in the old County Hotel and beer garden. It's been given a coat of emulsion and the tables painted bright colours - so cheerful even if in a shabby if not so chic way. Although it is not a hut or on the beach it manages a laid back summery vibe even on a wet NB evening, which is saying something. Staff are friendly, cool music, good cocktails, food was really tasty - casually served in boxes and with wooden knifes and forks, and best of all a great pint of Beavertown Neck Oil on draught, all reasonably priced - what's not to like.Hi RussellThanks so much for taking the time to visit us and share youâre feedback! Weâre here all summer so hope to see you again!BH
