This was our first time here and at first we were put off about trying a new place. But it had been recently renovated so we went. Let me tell you as a person who is an expert on all things Asian food this place was AWASOME for a buffet! What needed to be hot was hot and not over cooked. I was slightly disappointed in the sushi selection and other items but I chalked that up to going at lunch time. We will be trying again but at dinner next time.

This is our 'go to' for Chinese Take-out -- for lunch specials for work or dinner at home. Service is amazing! to watch them prepare the food right in front of you on those blazinghot Woks! Hate to think what their gas bill is!! Never had anything on their vast menu that wasn't good; you can get extra veggies, extra meat, no broccoli ( my husband HATES! broccoli so I always get his ), the fried rice - IF you have any left over is great for breakfast the next morning with an egg or two scrambled in; We eat here at least once/twice a month - have for years!

Early dinner while still in town, arrived tad before 5 p.m. and for a little while were the only customers .. nice! Promptly seated, and served our drinks - perusing the menu the fare of a wide variety of appetizers led to selections of cooked and raw sushi, salads, soups, entrees and a separate lunch menu for those 'on the go'. We selected the pork dumplings as an appetizer, at the same time placing our order for dinner. That's where it got a little out of sequence -- entrees are served with a 'house salad' ( VERY american item - ice berg lettuce, a few shreds of carrot and red cabbage for color) -- frankly I've never understood why so many oriental style restaurants offer such an item! and Miso Soup -- arrived well before the pork dumplings -- they were a tad 'toasty' on one side, but flavorful and quite hot! I chose Boston Roll ( cooked ) and Spicy Salmon ( raw ) and they were beautifully presented - one of the things that I enjoy about well prepared oriental foods is the artistry employed in presentation -- we do indeed eat with our eyes first! My husband ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and and it arrived sizzling hot and steaming on an iron platter with a cup of fried rice as a side. Very generous portions resulted in a treat for the next day at home. Service was prompt ( too prompt in the case of the out of sequence Appetizer/soup/salad ) but aside from that the evening was lovely. Charming and gracious staff, over all a very pleasant early dinner. As we were leaving it was beginning to fill up with couples and families and the quiet peaceful atmosphere was becoming less so!

This restaurant is quiet, not too brightly lit, tastefully decorated. It would be a good place to take a date. Large menu. My food was delicious and there was a lot of it! We were seated and waited on immediately and the service was attentive and pleasant. The prices were quite reasonable.

My husband and I ate dinner here. They do not take reservations and were full by 6:30 on a Friday night. I ordered the fried snapper and it was over cooked, but was thick enough the middle was fine. Everything else about my dish was fabulous. My husband ordered Pork With Garlic Sauce and it was excellent. We will come back and try lunch next time.

Today was my second visit and this time I tried the Pho - WOW! Very very good! Ingredients all very fresh (especially loved the Thai basil) and the soup was seasoned perfectly. I also ordered a side order of spring rolls and they were wonderful. Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. This place is definitely a hidden gem in New Bern.

I always love going to "authentic" Japanese restaurants and finding that the entire staff comes from some other Asian culture. Often of course, Chinese are very prevalent, but also Filipino, Vietnamese and Thai. But this time, in conversation, I noted many Burmese as waitstaff and "cooks." Which is fine by me as long as the food is good. And at Musashi, you will get very good "Benihana-like" meals. Thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and interaction with the crew. Very polite and attentive. Very clean and nicely appointed. Best in town.

We looked this up on the web and decided to try since we were hungry for some really good oriental food. We were not disappointed at all, and in fact are planning to go back very soon. One of us had orange chicken, which was very well done although the sauce was a bit on the sweet side, and the other member had Kung Pao chicken which was simply delicious. We are going to get a second meal from each. Our server was a perfect delight and quick on her feet.

Had to run by the shopping center for some last min Christmas Eve stuff and was glad to see them open for late lunch. Had a spicy Yellowtail roll, Ell roll, and Unagi Nigiri. All were enjoyable and fresh tasting. A little skimpy on the very tasty rice but I prefer that to too much bad rice. Would definitely go here again.

Based on the reviews, we had high expectations. We left thinking we would maybe give it another chance, but make different menu choices. You should know that they simply cannot accommodate dietary requests. It was explained to us that everything is cooked in advance. Hmm. I ended up with sushi and a plain salad. My husbandâs appetizer was on the greasy side and rather plain (Shrimp in a Blanket). His entree was just so-so. The menu is large with many choices so he might try it again (maybe the lunch buffet) but Iâm not sure if Iâll return due to the lack of options for my restrictions.
