Modern casual dining Indian restaurant where the focus is great food combined with great service.
I visit semi- regularly but always when my son flies home from southern England. The buffet is absolutely outstanding and is wonderfully naturally flavoursome- none of your artificially coloured dishes- just good, wholesome food. Exceptionally well priced and staff members are always peasant and helpful. It does only open evenings and tables for small numbers cannot be booked so you may have to wait. Free parking for patrons.

It's been over two years since I last visited the Jade, nothing has been lost in this time, the quality and freshness is still there and complimented by the ever efficient staff.Fairly busy for a Wednesday afternoon, all the usual favourite dishes and others on top like the spicy meatballs, desserts are also excellent if you have enough room for them.Def worth a visit every time whilst in the area, quality and reasonable pricing is a great match

Ideal for a special occasion just like we had. 30 people discovering cousins they didn't know they had and enjoying the night with great food and such a variety too. there was a karaoke machine and it got people letting their hair down and enjoying themselves. A great place to have a party, a special room and great food.

This restaurant was recommended to be by a Premier inn up the road. I arrived early and was the only person there. The man who served me (Alli) was very friendly and attentive . I had the Shammi kebab to start which was very good and full of flavour. Then i had a King Prawn bhuna as a main meal. The sauce was more a paste it had no onions and more like a Jalfrezi. My tongue was numb..It was a ok place with average food.

I visited your restaurant early Saturday evening. This was because my mother has consistently stated how good it is. Disappointment is an understatement for this visit. The restaurant was very quiet and we were seated easily. The waitress took our drinks order and this was served quickly. After a considerable wait I went to the bar and asked if someone could take our order and this was attended to.I did observe a number of staff who were extremely busy serving food however they were walking down a stair with this.I ordered rump of beef, haggis oatmeal, point-neuf potatoes etc. The meat was extremely dry on the outside, the oatmeal was so hard cooked that I had to scrape the haggis out of it. The pont-neuf potatoes were absolutely nothing like Parisian fried potatoes and in fact were identical to the chips served with my familyâs burgers. The pea puree and pancetta was tasty. The other three members of the family ordered the burgers (one with haggis and peppercorn). There was no garlic mayo, as stated, on any of the brioche buns and there was no peppercorn (we assumed a sauce). On my motherâs recommendation we then ordered Swiss treacle meringue, with Chantilly cream, served with marinated oranges. This dish was quite unbelievable â two supermarket style meringue nests stuck together with firm cream of sorts and drizzled with treacle fresh from a can. Marinated oranges â I would say mandarins from a tin. It was absolutely awful.I did raise the issues with the waitress who said she was really sorry and appreciated my honesty however, that was it. She also acknowledged that the staff were run off their feet. Unbeknown to me my mother had also spoken to a gentleman at reception who asked if everything was all right. My mother highlighted her disappointment and the gentleman said âwe have a new chef and he does things differentlyâ.An establishment of this standard really should be able to produce good food freshly made on the premises.I come away feeling that no one actually cared that we were not satisfied with our food or the service we received.

The food was acutall not bad and the service was good but there were 14 of us and we were all given plastic straws without asking for them. When I challenged the managere on their use of plastic straws he looked at me as if I had fallen out of the sky.I boycott restaurants without a decent environmenatl policy/practices andd won't be visitng again until hey do mor eto address their carbon footprint and plastic use.
