We are regulars of this authentic Japanese Restaurant. We seen major changes from this place from their expansion and changes of their personnel, and yet we are still a loyal patron. Though through time their portion servings seems to adjust we are economy the taste of their food remained to same - its exquisite. As you walked in they greet you in Japanese, courteously bring you to your table, answers your questions and after that authentic Japanese meal they send you a friendly vibes in Japanese.

Authentic Korean BBQ whose primary clientele speaks Korean.... we came in to try this recommended place but left feeling wholly dismissed by the staff. No one bothered to explain or recommend anything at anytime..... questions were answered unintelligibly other than to say spicy. When we asked what was in the dozen bowls set before us, she pointed to four and said spicy....and walked away. We ordered two rice bowls such as bi bim bop, and two meats for four.... why we were charged for an additional serving of rice? It came off the tip. The meat was pretty tasty, as was the chicken but our waitress was clearly frustrated with us and offered no clue as to whether the bowls had sauces for the beef or chicken, or what they were. We enjoyed a few more than the others but I have no idea what we were eating. The plum wine was bitter and unlike most sweet plum wine, unpalatable. They were of course out of the one American beer on the menu..... Korean beer may be popular in Korea, but it is skunky and unpleasant in my opinion. Topping it off this was not a cheap dinner...... I donât recall a restaurant where I was treated so indifferently and poorly but after reading the reviews, it seems fairly common here. I will not return or recommend this place.

Where do I start? We went on a snowy night, wanting somewhere close to home. We had seen repeated Groupons for Rosded (we did not have one) but figured we would give it a try because we love Thai food. We were the only customers when we got there but it still took forever for the host/waitress to take our order. When she did, she was very cold and rude. I watched her go back to the register area of the restaurant, explain our order to the women who appeared to be the cook (I won't give her the satisfaction of the title "chef"), who started to argue with the host about something and then go angrily to the kitchen. We had ordered fried Shu Mai, Special Spring Rolls, and Chicken Pot Stickers as appetizers. We ordered Pad Thai and Five Star Chicken. While waiting for our food, several men came in, apparently friends (?) of the owners, went to a booth with one of the owners and they kept turning around and glaring at us - very disconcerting. Our appetizers arrived in good time but the fried Shu Mai was tasteless and very doughy. The pot stickers were a bit better but nothing special. The spring rolls were very greasy and when I broke one in half, there was a long, black hair in it. I made a terrible face, wrapped it in a napkin, and before i could say anything, the host, who apparently had been watching, ran over and grabbed the plate away without saying anything, but made a very mean face at me. She brought out the Pad Thai and the noodles were one big overcooked lump. The Five Star Chicken, decent sauce but very little food on the plate. Honestly, after the hair in the Spring Roll, I was ready to leave. Oh, and the atmosphere? Just before leaving, another couple came in, sat down in the booth next to us, and proceeded to take turns playing (very loudly) inappropriate rap song on their phones. My date insisted on paying the bill even thought we had plenty of reasons not to. Needless to say, we will NOT be back and highly recommend that you pass this place over.

Clean restaurant, but you can feel the inexpensive investment in the place. Many people working in such a small place, probably all family or friends, (nothing against) exception for the South America guy, all of them very nice. Didnât like the food, not enough salt, and most important then salt the meat... Almost no meat in the dishes, the salad didnât had any flavor, maybe they donât use salt or other products to make food flavors to pop out, donât know, didnât like the rice either, again no salt and not perfectly cooked. first time in Vietnamese restaurant. In general for me i would say I didnât like the experience. The restaurant closes early at night and Iâm almost sure they disconnected the heat. Hard to go back.

Since we were last here, the food and service have deteriorated somewhat. The wait person did not completely listen to what we wanted and was not attentive during the meal. The soup was very good, although lacking in the requested tofu. I asked for an order of summer rolls (fresh veggies wrapped in rice paper) for an entree and received it right away. They were good, though. My wife's seafood combo, she said, was just average - not very tasty. Our friend's chicken and veggie dish, he said, was very good.

Our favorite place for sushi. I enjoy the atmosphere - comfortable and lively, but not so loud that you canât carry a conversation. Food is consistently good but on more than one occasion, when the restaurant is busier, the service has been below average. Servers are always friendly but it seems as though they canât keep up with the traffic. Most recently, we were seated for more than five minutes before our server introduced herself. Drinks took too long to show up and we had to flag her down for another round. Same deal trying to get and then pay the bill. She did the best she could (and with a smile) but poor service has been the rule lately rather than the exception.

We were really impressed with the service and food! The steak was so tender and served cubed on a sushi platter. We loved the different play on mainstream entrees. We will be back!

We were in Morton Grove and decided to have dinner at China Chef. We were seated immediately and were brought tea and menus. We decided to go with something different, rather than two big entrees. We asked for the China Chef appetizer with four tasty ribs, 4 skewers of satay beef, two very large eggrolls and four pieces of crab Rangoon. Though the menu actually listed chicken fingers, we were brought the crab Rangoon because they were out of chicken fingers. It did seem like a lot of food, but being just a big hungry, we decided on a single regular entree with no extras. We chose the shrimp and walnuts. There were enough large shrimp on a bed of lettuce, along with a large cup of white rice. The shrimp were hot and tasty, and the walnuts added a nice taste and crunch. The total price was reasonable. The service was efficient. While there, we noticed a good deal of take-out traffic.

This little restaurant is a real gem. The food is delicious and it is priced right (inexpensively). The soups and salads are delicious, as are the entrees. It is a comfortable place, not fancy, but functional- just like the food-not fancy, but yummy.

The Palace Chinese Restaurant is located at 9236 Waukegan Rd. in Morton Grove and it is part of a small strip mall. There is more than adequate parking and there is easy access, both, in to and out of the parking lot. We ate there, so we were seated immediately. The restaurant is a typical family-owned restaurant and about the only issue that I observed was that the decor might be a bit tired. The restaurant specializes in Cantonese cuisine, which is what we usually like. The crab Rangoon were really good and well-filled. The egg rolls were very good, as well. We ordered a Mongolian beef and a combination fried rice. Everything really tasted really good. The prices were more than reasonable.
