I took my teenager & 6-year old for lunch on a Wednesday and we had lots of fun. We really stuffed ourselves and had a great time doing it. The sushi is just ok, but the service is friendly and professional. My son definitely tried things he normally wouldnât have if they hadnât passed right under his eyes. The chicken skewers were quite good & we enjoyed the warm buffet as well. Two thumbs up!

My husband and I have been patrons of the Tavern de Chine for many years. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service there is top notch. It is always consistently excellent in every way. An elegant interior setting, damask tablecloths, and napkins. Beautifully run establishment. There is a very large choice of wonderful dishes--something for everyone, including vegetarians. It is truly a wonderful dining experience.

Just moved from Scotland to Montesson, and within a couple of days I ordered a takeaway from this place and the sushi is just delicious!! Definitely satisfied my cravings! They are so friendly even though they don't speak English! Will continue to go back!

About 7 stops on the Metro from Gare de Lyon (RER A Line), close to the Marche de Debussy in Sartrouville. A very good eating out alternative, with both Japanese and Thai menu. Friendly staff. Simple quality without city centre prices.

We read the comments by others and we were looking forward to the chance of finding good Thai food. Unfortunately we were left disappointed.Firstly we booked a table and they hadn't actually kept one for us. Mistakes happen so we let that go (but were not impressed with their suggestion we eat in the corridor next to the toilets!)First the good points, the staff and the welcome was very good, the restaurant is well lit, tastefully decorated and pleasant. The carafe of house wine was not too expensive and drinkable, the prices were reasonable. The bad bits - the food. I ordered a green curry (spicy) that came with no spice at all in a sauce that was watery and insipid and lacked any of the promised coconut milk. My wife ordered the fillet of fish in a banana leaf. She received a "fillet" the size of a chicken nugget baked in some sort of savory cake (not what we were led to believe) She couldn't eat hers and I had to order some chillis to eat mine.It could be a great restaurant, but when main reason you go out to eat is the food then I'm afraid we will not be going back. So if you appreciate good Thai food, then avoidCher Martin,Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas apprécié votre repas dans notre restaurant. A varied menu, and prices are reasonable for a similar quality restaurant in France. It's a good place for an ethnic-food night out or a relatively inexpensive dinner with friends. But the dishes are somewhat unimaginative for Chinese, especially in France, and the food is a study in contradictions: e.g., the sauces are heavy and overly seasoned, but the fried rice is relatively tasteless. And they skimp a bit on the meats. So, it can't compare with a really top-line Chinese restaurant. But where your choices for ethnic food are limited, it's good enough for an enjoyable meal. It is a popular choice with the locals, so it can get busy in the evening. As for service, the better they know you the more attentive they are...

I've eaten here on three occasions, every time I've had an uncomfortable meal. Its a small restaurant with little charm, staff unfriendly and cold and their menu is overpriced. Will not go again, there are better restaurants around.

We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant after seeing the other reviews but our experience was not as good.My wife ordered shrimp soup but was given shrimp salad, this was replaced but with chicken soup. My thai beef salad was more viet than thai.My wifes main course was so salty that she needed to drink a litre of water when we got home. Mine was a duck red curry unlike anything I have eaten before but was not too bad. This is not a real thai restaurant, Laosian perhaps but definately not thai. Perhaps we chose the wrong dishes but it wasn't the genuine article. Was it a bad meal? - no, was it thai? - no. Will we rush back? - no
