To prepare myself for a trip to Japan after having moved to this area recently, we tried sushi tomo and were very pleasantly surprised. They have many items to choose from and the service is very good.

Went to Sushi Plantation to try it out. The place was crowded, but we managed to get a table for 5, which was next to the door and patrons and waitresses kept bumping on my chair. I think they tried to fit as many as possible, even seating 4 people in a table that was meant for 2, one other table for 5 had to be moved a bit. Service was not that quick, took us 15 minuted before menus were provided. The other table for 5 had 4 meals served and the Mom was asking for her order, she was offered edamame for the wait. I mentioned to the waitress we were ready to order and she asked us to wait, The foursome that seated after us had their order taken way before we did. Seems like the place is full, at the expense of service. Enough of the lack of service, so let's talk about the food. Usually I order fried calamari and was disappointed with this, the batter was bland and worse, the calamari was gummy, even though it was hot off the fryer. I had the sashimi plate and it was okay, the fish was not as firm as other sushi places I've been to. The beef teriyaki was flavored with a very sweet sauce, and without it, the beef was tasteless. There are better sushi places in MV.

Din Ho has been a fixture in Lake Forest for over 30 years. They do a god lunch and dinner business. Large menu with traditional American-chinese dishes. Service was good. The food is prepared with American tastes in mind, more oil than traditional Chinese food. But if you want quick, good Chinese food or take out, Din Ho is a convenient location.

We had lunch at Kotobuki before shopping at Trader Joe's. We sat at a table that seemed very private. We ordered sautéed asparagus which was delicious. We are very grateful for Japanese restaurants that offer plum wine by the glass, and Kotobuki did not disappoint us. Our main course, beef teriyaki with miso soup and salad, was excellent. We had ice cream for dessert: mango and green tea. It seemed that our server was one of the owners, and she was very pleasant and helpful. The food came promptly and we did not have to wait for the bill. The man at the sushi counter welcomed us and thanked us when we left. The price seemed low for the quality of the food and friendly service.

This is by far the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I've been a regular to this place since the 90's, and will continue going here until Shin retires (and I hope that is not for a very long time!)

The food here is very tasty. You have your choice of Thai or Chinese. The soups are tangy and delicious. My friend and I usually order a Thai dish and a Chinese dish and split them. Prices are reasonable.Parking can sometimes be a problem before 5:30.Service is friendly and prompt.

I Love This Restaurant!!!
In all fairness to the restaurant, most of the food is above average plus the view of Lake Mission Viejo is amazing. However, if you are concerned with your health, the beef that is used in the Udon Beef Noodle Soup is mostly fat and gristle. I couldn't ean 90% of the beef because it was really disgusting. I spoke to our server about it, even showed the beef to her and her response expressed no concern at all to my issue. She said that the beef is always like that and then she walked away. This is not the way to promote good customer service, especially when their prices are a bit higher than most Japanese restaurants in the area. Next time I want sushi or Udon, I will try somewhere else that shows more compassion to their customers.

Located half mile southeast of the I-5 and Lake Forest Drive interchange, on Rockfield Blvd, and well-hidden in a small strip mall (between Salvation Army and the Boot Barn) the BHAN BAITONG Thai restaurant offers an amazing array of Asian delicacies. Since I am familiar with Chinese and Japanese food, but not Thai food, this restaurant became a âculinary adventureâ in which I could try different dishes without hesitation. This small storefront restaurant presents a comfortable modern Asian ambiance. Their food, made to order with fresh quality ingredients, is full of delicious flavors. The way that I can describe our dining experience is a celebration of flavors. I will return to fully explore their menu.

Shabu is fun! You cook your own thinly sliced meet by waving it around in boiling water. You are given a plate of veggies to eat with it also. It is a different experience. Price is medium. If you are a big eater, you may not feel filled up though. Enjoyable expierence overall.

P.F. Chang's is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang's chefs hand-roll dim sum
Friendly staff and they can accommodate food allergies. Less noisy than the one in Newport so you can have a conversation, but the tables are quite sticky..bathroom needs attention.
