Welcome to Gurkha Sizzler - Nepalese & Indian Restaurant in Huddersfield. Awesome place to dine out with your friend and family.
Went tonight and we hadnât booked a table. The food was great. Sizzling starter was served quickly and delicious. The mains were equally as good, tasty and hot. The menu has the usual tikka masala etc but an interesting list of Nepalese options which makes it a bit more interesting. The staff are very friendly and smile which makes a change these days. We will definitely return.

We have lived in birstall for four and a half years and this is the first time visiting shama and it definitely wonât be the last! The staff were so friendly and welcoming the manager âuncle billyâ let my daughter choose a free dessert! The food was outstanding we had mixed stater for 2 which I would highly recommend I had chicken shashlick my husband had keema balti and my daughter had chicken tikka masala all were delicious and the nan bread was the best ever. We even got a fresh red rose each when we were leaving. Iâd rate this as the best Indian restaurant Iâve ever been to.

All our food is prepared using the freshest, highest quality ingredients and is served by experienced friendly staff in a beautiful, contemporary environment.
I visited Mumbai Spice with my partner for a quick dinner. We shared the Mumbai Special starter, the meat was fresh, succulent and extremely tender. I followed with the fish karahi and my partner had the Mumbai special main. All really good and tasty. Service was swift and friendly. Would definitely return again.

Visited for the first time and didnât have a table booked. The staff were very accommodating. The curries were perfectly spiced and the onion bhajis unlike any other! One niggle, in that water isnât served as standard (as it usually is in most restaurants). I asked for some and was brought one glass of it. The chicken tikka starter was quite dry and tasteless. All starters came on a bed of salad. Ordered a plain naan and it was perfection-not too thick or doughy. The whole place, including toilets, was spotlessly clean. The bill seemed very reasonable for what we ordered.

I had never had Thai before I discovered Thai Sakon and I honestly canât believe what Iâve been missing. We have been visiting now for around 5 years fairly frequently. The food and the service is exceptional - the sweetcorn fritters especially and the curry has a lovely kick to it and loads of flavour. They always go out of their way on special occasions with a special dessert even when we havenât booked it as being an occasion just when theyâve spotted a card being exchanged or whatever. We prefer the red room as I think it is quieter than the other room. My only slight criticism is that the tables are huge and so itâs hard to hear the person sat opposite you but this is great for when the food comes as thereâs loads of room. We couldnât get in recently as we wanted to visit last minute so ended up at another Thai nearby and whilst it was nice it wasnât a patch on Thai Sakon. Iâm looking forward to my next visit!

Modern Burmese Food. Yorkshireâs First Burmese Restaurant. Local Produce, Burmese Flavour. Cafe Mandalay | Bar & Restaurant
Wow, amazing authentic food, tasty, different to the usual, great service, friendly staff, wonderful setting and decor. We absolutely loved it here and will be back very soon. I had the coconut chicken soup which was huge, filling and satisfying. I could taste every single ingredient it was a pleasure to eat. The slaw side was delightful, refreshing and interesting. My partner got the duck udon noodles and scoffed the lot, making nothing but noises of pleasure along the way! A little gem of a place. Do something different and try Cafe Mandalay before the word gets around and you have to book 3 months on advance!

Rubyâs Lounge is an Indian restaurant, wine bar and takeaway and part of the Cinnamon Lounge group which has branches in the centre of Wakefield, Horbury Bridge and Flockton Moor.
Located on a busy main road, has a car park too. The restaurant is clean and tidy, the staff look smart too and a great welcome sat us straightaway. Ordered some drinks and waiter offered us popadum and pickles whilst we looked at the menu. We ordered lamb chops and prawn purée both was very tasty and the main was the lamb Pathia and chicken Bhuna both was delicious too, definitely will revisit this restaurant.

Got a chicken rogan josh, looked nice, came in good time and didnât wait long but the curry itself was tasteless and wasnât at a spicy or had any flavour. Also got a chicken tikka naan wrap which consisted of a couple of bits of chicken in a huge naan, waste of money wonât be visiting again.

My wife and I visited these premises with friends on Saturday night, we had booked a table and were quickly seated and our orders taken, the starters arrived quickly, I had the meat samosas, they looked nice but upon picking one up, hot cooking oil ran out of it onto my hand and continued to drip onto my plate, the samosas were full of cooking oil which spoiled the taste of them. Everyone elseâs starters were fine, our main meals were very nice and plentiful.Staff were attentive and helpful but not intrusive.Parking is available across from the premises in a local authority car park.I would recommend the Al Nawab and will visit again.
