I took the family here for Thanksgiving dinner instead of the usual turkey. We all agreed that this was the right choice since there was no preparation, cooking or clean up. We also made sure not too dress too nicely since we knew we would be smelling like BBQ after all the table cooking we would have to do.We arrived before five thinking that Gen would be crowded like it normally is but we were surprised that the place was not even half full. We still had to wait for almost 20 minutes since there was not enough servers. The queue behind us continued to grow but it was not until once the next shift showed up for work then the queue started to get seated. However once we got seated we quickly made our choices but still had to wait for our waiter as he was still servicing his other tables. The policy of ordering the meats is only four meat dishes ordered at each round and you cannot order more than one of the same dish. For the non meat dishes you can order at the same time as the meat without limits.Together we finished off 17 orders of meats and seafood. Most of the pork and beef orders came out in roughly 2 strips each, calamari was one rectangle, shrimp was only five each time and the bulgolgi came in a bowl. Overall the best dishes were the Cajun shrimp, Hawaiian steak, Kalbi and the all pork belly varieties. We were bummed that they ran out of tongue. Overall the meats were easy to cook and the controls for the gas grill easy to modify at the end of the table. The veggie plate was a joke with cuts of bell peppers, onions, zucchini and slices of corn on the cob. The japchae noodles were disappointing with the portion size and lack of meat. The tastiest non meat dish was the fried dukboki with a sweet and sour sauce. If you are still hungry after eating all this meat then you can buy macaroon ice cream sandwiches separately for your dessert (3.49 each I think).Service was efficient and each time the meat dishes were delivered the waiter took our next round of meat orders. The pace was slow initially but picked up once we got into the routine of cooking and eating.Definitely worth a return visit.

We went to Layang Layang again for dinner. We enjoyed their coffee ribs, and Nasi Lemak. both were very good and tasty. (and yes I've been to Malaysia several times.)The one thing about this restaurant - Service is good.Their close time is "defined", meaning they work hard to have the restaurant cleaned up by the noted close time. As such you may feel a bit rushed if you go right before they closeTip: Go an hour or so before they close.

Surprisingly good vegan restaurant operated by Taiwanese . Served all kinds of chinese food but vegan. Ordered spicy noodle soup and vegetables dumplings. Tasted ok and not feel like typical oily vegetarian food. Friendly service and clean ambience, you can come for lunch or dinner.. very lovely place.. even you are not vegetarian, you ordered the food which taste like a meat food..

Was here Friday evening for a large family gathering. Portions were very generous. Crab was outstanding: meat was sweet, tender and infused with flavor. Shrimp in mayonnaise a fusion creation and extremely tasty. One of our party was hungry for special order of eggs with tomatoes. Waiter cheerfully accommodated the request. Oh yeah the beef tenderloin with peppers and onions and Chinese mushrooms with greens were cooked to perfection.

Ready made meals make the rounds on carts and you order as they pass. Instant meal as it is right there right then. No menus. Very Chinese and I think I was the only westerner in the place. Food a bit too weird for me but some of it was ok

Excellent seafood served quickly & smilingly. Quality of food was great.Hot items served pretty hot & soups served by the waiteres. All items were delicious. However, one bone of contention: the waitress served the soup bowls & plates with her thumb in them. This was a little annoying.Hope the owner, if reading this review, can rectify this practice.

I had the opportunity to eat here while on business. For a Wednesday evening (8:30pm), the place was very busy. I did not order the traditional Korean BBQ as it was only me. However, I did order two prepared dishes and they were very good. Along with the two dishes, they served a very nice assortment of banchan (or Korean sides). The only real negative I have is follow-up from the wait staff. I know there is a button at the table to call for assistance but this is a new concept for me. If the BBQ is as good as the prepared dishes, I would give this place a 5-Star rating. It's definitely on the expensive side but it is CA and it may be unique in the area which allows them to charge a premium. I definitely plan to visit this place in the future.

We went with 15 colleagues and it was good we made reservations upfront. It is a hectic place, different than any restaurant I ever been to. We were with some Chinese colleagues and they did the ordering, that helped a lot since the menus were not too clear. The dishes were refreshingly different and tasted mostly good. I liked the fried milk! And all dim sum were very nice.

Sendai is a small Japanese restaurant in a not heavy traffic location but is so popular. When going there for lunch, ensure to come early as it is full packed. The palce is small but is clean and the foods are really fresh. I love the sashimi the best.
