hibachi was very plain tasting, with not much seasoning. We went online with one of the sites to check prices of this restaurant. Very surprised when we arrived and the menu was much higher, almost twice as much. This isn't very good when you are budgeting for a family and find out it's twice as high. Will be more careful in the future when checking menu prices online. My advice is beware, call in advance to get menu prices if this is a problem.

The atmosphere is authentic and very warm and comfortable. The food was delicious and the portions are large. We were very pleased with our experience. This restaurant has been in downtown Overland Park for many, many years and never disappoints. We had forgotten how good it was until this last visit. We will definitely return.

The bland appearance from the front is misleading: this really is a special place. The interior is contemporary, and the service and food are excellent. I had the pork spring rolls and seafood pad thai, which were great. The latter had lobster, scallops, shrimp, etc. in good quantity and quality, with good level of spice.

A second generation Thai restaurant serving authentic Thai food ranging from Pad Thai, Thai Curries, to Chicken Sate and Papaya salad. We pride ourselves in our food and excellent service.
This is our favorite restaurant. Period. The waitstaff is very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and make you feel like family. I don't understand the bad service reviews. We have come here for years and see the staff interact so positively with the customers at lunch as well as dinner, in their very pleasant decor.Their Thai food of all types is excellent and moderately priced for the value. You can't go wrong at Thai Orchid!

Several visits to Bistro 913 have revealed definite design flaws: very few server(s) with questionable attitude(s), slow service, multiple repeated order mistakes, and not the cleanest environment. We are low-key diners, so none of these is a HUGE deal... but if you are looking for a relaxing, clean, and well-attended experience, look elsewhere. The Vietnamese selections were mediocre. Several people chose Pho (the stock was not rich and flavorful as you find at Vietnam Cafe, although it was LOADED with veggies and protein). Very filling! Unfortunately for the vegetarians who ordered veggie Pho, it tasted like soy sauce and water, plus tofu (and the occasional piece of renegade chicken... look alive, mate!) The salads were also generous. The poke is delicious, although incredible salty if you get Hawaiian style. Almost too salty to finish. (perhaps this is authentic.) In other curious facts: the floor was insanely sticky both times... almost comical! The one overworked waiter was quite flustered and understandably inattentive. (Overall suggestion: Don't make a special order unless you are OK with it coming out wrong/'different', don't peek into the kitchen, don't be in a hurry, and consider ordering to go.)

Freshly made when you order. We had a fun time trying to decide on flavors that we wanted. Their sushi rolls have fun names! Also, their sashimi is very fresh. Service was a little slow when there is a crowd. Just be patient and you will enjoy the sushie eventually. Crispy crab rangoons were served as appetizers.

Went today and ordered several rolls. While the service was good, neither the food nor the environment was particularly appealing. The location feels a bit run down and not entirely clean. The acoustics inside make for a loud eating area. None of the six rolls ordered stood out. Flavors were bland. Veggies in most not very crisp. Cream cheese portioning in rolls was stingy. Tuna and salmon lacked fresh flavor and color. The tempura was not fully done throughout. Hate to say it â but felt like supermarket sushi. Donât think we will be back.

My first time here, with someone who lived in Korea. She ordered for the table, yay! Everything was amazing. She doesn't want to try other Korean restaurants because she doesn't want to be disappointed. No need anyway. Sobahn is wonderful.

Family owned and operated. Excellent service. Excellent food with an extensive menu. Everything is cooked fresh and each dish has it's own flavor, unlike many Chinese restaurants where all the dishes taste basically the same. They use only fresh green beans in their food. On our last visit, they told us that the beans they had gotten in were not very good, so they did not accept them and are not serving bean dishes until the fresh beans come in. It is that kind of care for the quality of the food they are serving that makes a difference. Restaurant is old school Chinese. Larger round tables have a lazy Susan in the center to facilitate family dining. Highly recommend!
