This is a restaurant that clearly caters to Borobudur visitors, tourists. But of course most readers here will be tourists and this place provides good food, even some Western dishes for those in need, the Indonesian food is remarkably good and authentic, good portions too. Price is very decent, not cheap, decoration is nice, service is very good, Wi-Fi free and fast. Tried corn soup, fried duck and a beef stew, all very good tasting, almost like home made.
At its cosy perch overlooking the pool, The Langit Menoreh Bar & Lounge invites guests to dine and relax. Take a break from the tropical heat to enjoy light bites and refreshing drinks. Wind down with artisanal cocktails sipped as the sun sets over the me

I went there at night. I never knew this food before and just curious from many travelers recommendation. The place was quite simple and traditional. We can directly order to the waitress orally. After 5 minutes the food served. Of course it depend on our flavor, but for me as a Javanese person feel a great taste. The food combine tofu with rice cake, mixed with dilute peanut sauce. We can ask the spicy level.

On the way to Borobudur Temple, you can find this Resto on the right side. The sign is quite clear, so that you can directly across the road. They have Western and Indonesian Cuisine with various dessert and drinks. One thing that I like from this resto is they have package menu for group, complete with the coffee or tea and slices of fruit. This time we choose the package for minimum 2 pax, and it is a lot for three of us. We are very satisfied. It contains: steam rice, chicken opor, beef blackpepper, mix vegetables, sweet an sour fish, sliced fresh fruit and coffee. And it is only 100,000 IDR, very reasonable.Beside the yummy menu, I like to be here. I can enjoy our lunch with bossas music in the background, while winds playing at the bamboos tree. So nice and relax. This afternoon, I found a place to hide out, that make us happy.

The Restaurant, with a silver-leaf ceiling and views of Borobudur and volcanoes, serves Indonesian and Western cuisine
had 5 breakfasts and 2 dinners here: the service is wonderful. what stood out:-breakfast was super healthy starting with jamu, assortment of cereals and/or fruits, pastry basket, before starting on the hot dishes.-after commenting on the delicious French toast, the chef immediately typed it out and printed it for us. -bubur ayam was exceptional: rice porridge drowned in a delicate spiced chicken consommé with all the usual trimmings (shredded chicken, fried onions).during tea, a lovely elderly lady served us hot jamu (herbal tea) with a savoury and a sweet snack.

Relaxed (covered) al fresco dining in a small, relaxed resort. Good value for money for a resort restaurant. We spent IDR 140,000 for 2 mains and a banana fritters starter, excluding drinks.

Located in Dusun Kretek, only a few kilometres from the legendary Borobudur Temple, Punthuk Setumbu and Gereja Ayam, Stupa Restaurant offers an inviting taste of Central Javaâs cherished heartland â fresh, local and full of flavour. Set in an old Javanese
Very nice setting open air. The food was fine but not exceptional, comparable to other we found in town. The service was a bit confused and staff had difficulty communicating in English. Also, they only serve wine, beer and mocktails. The server told me that real cocktails were only available in the other main restaurant. He did not bother to tell me that I could order from there and they would bring it. I went to the other resto to find out and they said sure, no problem, they will deliver. Pretty pathetic lack of understanding and training of the servers.Dear DitchnapperThank you for your kind feedback based on your experience with us. We are happy to learn that you enjoyed the setting with open air. On the other hands, we truly appreciate your constructive comments regarding restaurant service and rest assured that we are taking reasonable actions to ensure our spiririt of continuous improvement is not being compromised. We look forward to welcoming you back at Stupa Restaurant sometime soon.Regards,
