Loughrea (/lɒxˈreɪ/ lokh-RAY; Irish: Baile Locha Riach, meaning "town of the grey/ speckled lake") is a town in County Galway, Ireland. The town lies to the north of a range of wooded hills, the Slieve Aughty Mountains, and the lake from which it takes its name. The town is also famous for its cathedral (see Loughrea Cathedral) which dominates the town's skyline. The town has increased in population in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Although the town also serves as a commuter town for the city of Galway, it retains its vibrancy as an independent market town.

Have eaten in twice and got takeaway from here once.Having eaten here again, we were really disappointed. My vegetable madras tasted like a vegetable stew and my partner's chilli chicken tasted more like a chinese. The garlic naan was lovely. We have tried and won't be going be back. We did not complain at the time as the food was edible just not terribly exciting. Coupled with that, the partner has not felt well all day. Such a pity

A perfect dining experience. We got parking right outside, the place is very comfortable (booths available) and well decorated, the staff are extremely attentive without being invasive or fawning. The food was stunning - a mixed curry for me (some people throw their hands up at a Chinese curry - I love them), a tofu dish for my wife which she enthused about. There was a mix-up over starters - my wife foolishly said "for two" so we got double everything. They offered to take half away but I didn't want to put them to any trouble...
