I had the Omakase Sashimi, a ten piece chefs choice. The sushi itself, combined with the various ingredients, is almost breathtaking in itself. You will experience a large variety of flavors throughout the meal, each different from the last. The fish itself is very high quality, some of the best i have ever had. The restaurant itself is inviting, and has a family run feel to it. Although a little drive from the city center, it is well worth it.

Since we were last here, the food and service have deteriorated somewhat. The wait person did not completely listen to what we wanted and was not attentive during the meal. The soup was very good, although lacking in the requested tofu. I asked for an order of summer rolls (fresh veggies wrapped in rice paper) for an entree and received it right away. They were good, though. My wife's seafood combo, she said, was just average - not very tasty. Our friend's chicken and veggie dish, he said, was very good.

Our family and some friends recently had lunch at Bacolod Chicken Haus. For those who want to try Filipino food or who have a craving for it, this restaurant can be strongly recommended. The place is unpretentious,decent and clean. We must have lucked out because our party of 11 was seated right away on a Sunday. Not long after we arrived, there were groups of people waiting to be seated. The menu selection is varied so even picky eaters should be able to find something to order. Our son-in-law and daughter-in-law are both full blooded Americans but they both enjoyed the different dishes we ordered - about 11 different dishes. The individual servings are not overly generous but just enough for one with a good appetite. I understand that for larger parties, they offer large servings to share. I think it will be hard to go wrong with whatever you order - none of the 11 dishes disappointed. The Kaldereta and the adobo deserve special mention.It may be surprising to find that they automatically add the tip to your bill. In our case, given the good service we received, I did not mind at all. Overall, a very good family experience.

Enjoyed our dinner at Makisu! I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki and it was delicious! The sauteed veggies which accompanied the entree were beautifully presented and excellent tasting as well. Other dinners ordered included Chicken Teriyaki, Scallop Crab Cake and the Tempura Small Plates - everyone was very happy. Miso Soup is included with the entrees.

I guess we are spoilt by genuine Pakistani cuisine, and so we expected similarly yummy food when we visited the Pakistani neighborhood in Devon, Chicago and lunched at Sabri Restaurant (an iconic Pakistani eatery). But the cuisine resembled the original in name only.We ordered the mixed grill platter and frontier chicken which were cold, dry and lacked the original flavors. The naans were the only good item on the menu!We asked to speak to the manager about the food quality but were told he was busy. Not a good experience!

I have patronized this restaurant for years, both dining in and carry-out. The service is quick and the staff pleasant and polite. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone down in recent years. Over the weekend, for example, I ordered shrimp egg foo young (their spelling) as take-out. When I got home, I found one piece the size of a softball, and several shreds of vegetable with some egg attached. The sauce was watery, and the whole dish full of tinned peas and carrots (is their new cook British?). Time for me to find a new Chinese restaurant.

We chose this restaurant because we thought our kids would get a kick out of the unconventional dining experience. Friendly, attentive service and a casual but caring vibe. The food was delicious, and our vegetarian daughter found enough items on the menu to accommodate her needs. (Note to the restaurant: I know it's not your main focus, but it would be great if you could dress up your garlic noodles with veggies or tofu for what you're charging.) Needless to say, dress for the mess, and keep those paper towels handy!

Though through time their portion servings seems to adjust we are economy the taste of their food remained to same - its exquisite.
