Greenbrae isnât known for diversity in itsâ population nor in itâs food choices. Oyama Sushi is an overpriced but serviceable restaurant if you are in the neighborhood and craving Japanese cuisine. Appropriately in the local strip mall, BonAire, itâs got an extensive menu heavy on the appetizers with mainly authentic options but not well handled. The chirashi sushi lunch plate was sad with pieces of middling quality fish and three strange over handled balls of rice each one a bit smaller than the next. We also had the chicken katsu which was well fried with a crunchy panko crust and generous portions. It seems they can fry well but the fresh fish is not really up to par.If you can just hold on, drive on to Miller Street in Mill Valley and eat at Samurai if itâs sushi you want.

This is a place I've enjoyed for over 20 years whenever I'm in town. They have great food and a friendly staff. It's an unpresupposing place - quiet and small (should I just say "intimate"?), and my favorite is the Pumpkin Chicken Curry (which is actually squash, but it's so good that I'd never quibble. The also have a great Eggplant Chicken Curry and a super Tom Kar Gai - and each meal comes with a little clear brother before.Green Mango Sticky Rice for dessert, and I'm a happy boy!
We finally made it here and were not dissapointed! We tried the Marin roll and the Larkspur roll. Not only were they delicious, they were beautiful as well. Great flavor, texture and the combinations worked well. We will definitely be back! Wish they were open for lunch. Made us feel very welcome too.

Forget all the faddish wacko/crazy rolls. I you want to have authentic, freshly made sushi made by masters (all sushi chefs have been at the counter for the 20+ years I've been coming here. The fish and vegetables are bought daily, impeccably prepared in an authentic setting. The green tea is served at the exact temperature. Daily specials are inspired. Japanese culture is founded on refinement...and subtlety. So is Sushi-Ko.

There are tables but we had takeaway. It was excellent. I loved the Thai Red Curry and the Pad Thai was rated very good. Starter of chicken satay is yummy and the thai chicken salad is a large portion. The good thing is you can order and then go have a beer at the Marin Brew Pub next door! Win win.

In the 1990s I lived in Sausalito and discovered a wonderful little Japanese restaurant on Caledonia Street where I ate at least twice a week for a number of years. Time marches on, now I live in Napa and Fuku-suke has moved to Larkspur. Because neither my wife nor I drive after dark it has been difficult for us to get to Fuku-suke, which is open only for dinner. But once or twice a year we get to the Larkspur location. We were there last Sunday and were pleased to find our old friends, Mama-san serving and her son Warren-san in the kitchen are still there and it is better than ever with a much-expanded menu and the same meticulously prepared dishes. I have never had better sashimi and my wife loves their Bento box. The place is small and a bit out of the way, but for top notch Japanese food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Fuku-suke is an excellent choice.

Clean, comfortable eatery serving quality food in a comfortable surrounding. Mexico-style "poke"beautifully prepared with delicate chips and iceberg, lettuce slices, $14.00. Spicy tuna sushi, fresh, tasty, $10.00. Sticky ribs, warm, juicy and slowly cooked, $14,00 for 5 ribs. The server, Ashanti, was intelligent, knowledgeable and quick to our requests. She represented herself and her employer with style, grace and a sense of humor. If you like seafood, add this place to your list.

Read about the tiny location and warned about the potential wait, so we arrived an hour before closing in hopes of missing the crowds. It was still busy and we waited, but the staff was wonderfully accommodating. They brought drink orders to the waiting area, and distributed menus so we could preorder. When we were seated, our dishes arrived promptly. The food was good, with the Bao trio being the best of what we ordered. Spicy heat here is not nearly as high as other Burmese restaurants like Burma Superstar so worry not about their spice warning. Can't say enough about how friendly the entire staff was.
