Maki the Avenues brings innovative Japanese cuisine in a fine dining style to Kuwaitâs largest shopping mall.
I visit Maki Avenues on a regular basis, sometimes twice or three times a week. I go there for business lunches, with family, with friends, or even alone. The food is great and everyone I took there showed their great appreciation for the food served. Most important however is the friendliness of the team and their emphasis on offering you a great service and a great experience.Dear ht-smm, Thank you for your continued patronage. It is a pleasure to read your comments about our cuisine and hospitality. I shall look forward to hosting you again soon. Best Regards Joe Hajjali

Our landmark restaurant along Jaber Al-Mubarak Street in Sharq, from where the Mughal Mahal saga began in December of 1985, now lies in the shadow of another landmark - Kuwaitâs tallest skyscraper, the Al Hamra Tower. The Sharq branch has witnessed the un

Maki: the most innovative Japanese restaurant in the Middle East. A passionate and unique concept, with a cozy ambiance and an exquisite variety of infused mouth-watering dishes, to be experienced at Marina Waves.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Maki Marina. The food was so beautifully served and incredibly tasty. Two of us four eat vegan and we were happy to see that there was a whole section of vegan dishes to choose from, and so creative also. Sometimes vegan sushi can be a bit simple but this was very high class. Also the service was very kind and attentive, meeting our every wish. We will definitely come again!Dear BoemMK,I am very glad that we were able to satisfy the vegan needs of two of your party. We are constantly exploring ways to enhance our vegan option with exotic dishes. It is a pleasure to read that you have found our food to be âbeautifully servedâ and âincredibly tastyâ. I look forward to hosting you again soon. Best Regards Joe Hajjali

I had a healthy and delicious lunch at Ashaâs, Marina Crescent. This is my first visit in 2017. The weather now is cool and breezy for an outdoor lunch. The marina branch is one of the best in the city. The worst branch was the emirates mall (Dubai). Madhu is the host at Ashaâs. She is from Calcutta. She worked as a therapist for 6 years before joining AshaâsMy initial visit was for a small platter of grilled Hammour (grouper) fish. I love how the Chef prepares seafood. The fish is diced into 6 pieces only. Madhu recommended the prawn coconut curry as well. Madhu says that it is delicious and worth trying. Prawn coconut curry is the highlight of the 2017 menu. The Prawns are cooked in a velvety ginger coconut sauce, with spring onions and blended with fresh tomato. I really loved the strong coconut flavor in the curry. However, I could not eat the prawns because they tasted like rubber! ! I do not think they were cooked properly. My main was fish hammour with coconut sauce curry on top, for the ultimate in flavor and wellness. My dessert was the Pistachio Kulfi with raspberries. Kulfi is a popular frozen dairy dessert from the Indian subcontinent. It is often described as "traditional Indian ice cream." The Kulfi is rich with delicious aromatic creamy texture. The Kulfi was topped with candyfloss and mint leaves. I love the flavor of rose in drinks and food; hence I always enjoy the Rose jam iced tea. It is a freshly brewed tea and lemon juice scented with rose water. I wish to see more seafood being served at Ashaâs such as the salmon biryani and introducing more Coconut flavor dishes.SEE photos of menu and my mains.Dear Ghadeer,Thank you so much for your review. Being a chain restaurant, there is very little surprise possible in PF Chang. However this location seems extremely plain, with personnel definitely below average even for kuwaiti standards and no attention to food presentation. The only thing that is in line with PF Chang above the average standards are the prices. Not worth a second stop

I am reviewing this restaurant regarding my second visit, I went for dinner with my wife a daughter, having the impression for good service and tasty food of the prior visit, Unfortunately I was disappointed, first of all the service was poor, less staff and slow service, if you need some thing, you have to be lucky seeing a waiter not busy or passing through, also my wife and daughter ordered a shrimp dish, both got a chicken dish ! ?. But to be fair they replaced it back with the right selection and offered mye the two chicken plate free of charge which I am thankful, Food is too much salty , which I believe this is due most of Indian restaurants used MSG and a food coloring, I didn't enjoy the food taste as I did in my previous visit, therefore I am not sure if I will visit this restaurant back . Dear khalid4kac ,Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. We are deeply concerned about your genuine comment related to your experience with us.Rest assured, your comments were shared with our service manager and corrective actions were made.It is our aim to provide all our guests with a memorable experience. I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.Kind regards,Jenibert RayanFood and Beverage Operations Manager
