Kings Mountain is a small suburban city within the Charlotte metropolitan area in Cleveland and Gaston counties, North Carolina, United States. Most of the city is in Cleveland County, with a small eastern portion in Gaston County. The population was 10,296 at the 2010 census. During the Revolutionary War, Patriot militia defeated Loyalist militia in the Battle of Kings Mountain. Liberty Mountain, a play performed at the local theater, tells all about the battle. The downtown area is home to the museum and police station.

We belong to SASI in King's Mountain and had visited with a friend recently. We realized we were hungry, and I remembered someone mentioning a Thai place in town. The building and even the first room you enter, are quite austere; however, we were ushered into a funky, cozy back room with tables and some Thai decor. The server spoke with a thick accent we could hardly understand which can be a good sign of authenticity. The menu was quite extensive be really reasonable. I could not pass up chicken pad Thai. My husband got some kind of crispy fish, and our friend asked for something with lots of vegetables. The waiter said they could make a Thai curry. Because the prices were so low, we expected small portions, but the portions were large and came with lots of good-tasting rice. Unfortunately they do not have a liquor license because we enjoy beer with Thai food; however, everything was so delicious we didn't mind. The food had some heat but not too much. The spices in the curry and pad Thai were just right. The restaurant is very clean. The front room has a small speciality grocery section. I can't wait to go again.

Your typical strip mall take out Chinese restaurant. We get take out several times a month for work - everyone likes it, I've enjoyed everything I've ever got from here. Their items they designate on the menu as "Hot & Spicy" aren't very hot & spicy (at least to me). I've tried to ask for extra heat and sometimes I get it and sometimes the order taker doesn't seem to understand what I'm asking. Great lunch specials.- Take out only.

Pretty much typical Japanese fast food - to me not as good as the one closer to where I live - but do get take out from here due to it being close to where I work. Last time a coworker asked if they would add soy sauce to her meal while they cooked it - and they flatly refused saying she could add it when she got her box. She tried to explain she preferred to have it heated with the food. The owner or at least manager was starting to raise his voice at her and told her it was his restaurant and he would not add soy sauce to hers or anyone's meal. I was kind of shocked how angry he was getting because of her request - all she did was ask and try to explain why she was asking. I'm sure they lost her as a customer.
