I love this place! It brings back memories of the three years I lived in Asia. The Pho is awesome, best I've had outside of Viet Nam. The beef tendon is my favorite. Portions are generous and prices very reasonable. The decor is not the greatest, but it adds to its allure. I love sights, sounds, smells and tastes here, and when I close my eyes I can imagine myself back in Hoi An.

This is a small Japanese restaurant with a substantial menu. The sushi is nicely prepared and presented. Other dishes such as noodles and tempura and prepared with car. Located in sort of a strip mall, it is easily missed, but worth the effort to find it.

We are sushi snobs and have tried sushi in nearly every state we've visited (well over 20) and we have LOVED having excellent sushi so close by! We live in Caledonia, and prior to Jaku opening, we didn't have a sushi restaurant nearby; we either had to settle for grocery store sushi or wait until we had a date night to have decent sushi. Well, not any more! We have always had excellent food and service at Jaku and, while we normally order carryout, we have dined in on a few occasions and the atmosphere is great. We love the cozy setting and the decor and we've always had prompt and reliable service. We especially enjoy their fried mushroom appetizer and their Jaku house rolls. If you're looking for a great sushi, Jaku is definitely a great place to go!

Went to lunch there today with 3 co-workers. My meal was delivered with incorrectly, and the waiterss knew it right away so she took it back to get it corrected. After 10-15 mins, the rest of the table was nearly finished eating so I walked to the front to get it "to go", and told the waitress that I would expect a credit for that meal. I got the bill, went to pay, and asked for the to go box, but they had thrown it away. Not sure if there was language barrier, but no apology. I didn't pay for it of course, but I got no lunch either. I wont be going back.

Service was very good. The portions were large and complete ie soup, ege roll, rice, & tea. I didn't care for the soy type sauce covering the cashew chicken. It was a bit heavy. All in all it was very good except for the heavy taste of the sauce.

Like most Sushi restaurants in Grand Rapids, the proprietor is actually Korean. What makes this place exceptional is that they also serve Korean food, and there is a Korean menu selection. Although limited, we have tried almost every item, and can vouch that it is authentic and tasty. The place to be if you are going through Korean food withdrawal. After half a dozen attempts, I still cannot get TA to add Korean cuisine to this listing, so if you found this, kudos to you, and enjoy!

What a fantastic experience for my family! It was my daughters first time experiencing Japanese cooking. The young chef working the grill was funny, communicated well with the table, touched base with each of the 8 guests and provided great service. Highly recommend trying out the Japanese side of this restaurant. Good food, good service and good entertainment. *Note, I ordered appetizers as my meal and the sushi and crab ragoons were delicious!

My brother and I, per his recommendation, popped in for lunch. I am a lover of Thai food and this restaurant provided a satisfying meal. I had my favorite fried rice with vegetables and pineapple with a Thai peanut sauce. Wonderful! My brother had his usual. Excellent experience!

They do a lot of sushi and it's decent but to me there are better sushi joints in town. Here to me is all about the hibachi's, the chicken stir fry is terrific. You get a ton of food and it's a really good price. Easy to pick up and go home with it.
