Reviews on Asian food in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The valley of Kashmir is as rich with history and political controversy as it is with culture and natural phenomena. Sample exquisitely spiced native cuisines and festive teas, then walk off your meal along the rugged trekking routes to the north. Marvel at the famous houseboats of Srinagar and take a spiritual moment to reflect at one of the many pilgrimage sites and religious shrines that dot the region. Of course, native craftsmanship makes for excellent souvenirs—carpets and textiles are an especial shopping must.

The food here is tasty, freshly made, yet reasonable. We had both veg and non veg food, and veg food was too good.Restaurant is simple, humble setup. Staff is courteous.Overall, must visit

The interiors will keep up engaged. Open kitchen would attract u. The food is really good. We tried khambir, chocolate momos, apricot juice, authentic pasta & sweet honey potato. Everything was just yummy. The chef is from ITC Bangalore and kudos to her & her team.

Visited this restaurant on recommendation of a friend. However found this an average place. Few things need immediate attention of owner. I had to wait for nearly 15+ minutes before someone came to take order. Since I was alone, ordered for one plate of Mutton Biryani. Which took another 7-8 minutes and when he brought it, I was shocked to see the huge size of the "one plate". It was good for 2 and I could finish it in next 60-70 minutes! The preparation had excessive oil and meat pieces were not tender as I expected. I hope if the promoters are made aware of this feedback.
Here's an idea- order both. Earthen Oven offers a host of original Peshawari cuisines prepared to perfection by the renowned masters of this historic culinary craft.

Alchi Kitchen is a charming restaurant located just past the parking area for Alchi Monastery. We were seated in the inside section on the 1st floor although there is an outdoor section with good views. The entire restaurant was run by women and they were very efficient and helpful. The cooking is in an open kitchen right in front of you. We loved the local Ladakhi bread stuffed with mushrooms and egg with a sauce. It was simply delicious. We also had their momos which were good too. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch.

Family Restaurant
Terrible over cooked food. The tandoori chicken was burnt to a crisp, the garlic naan bread fat undercooked and no flavour or any taste of garlic. The mutton biryani was advertised as biryani but the rice was a tomato sauce based pulao rice (which was listed separately on the menu) The mutton was as tough as old boots and a totally poor biryani rice. One of the worst restaurants in India and by far the worst experienced in Kashmir.Unbelievably there were â Trip Advisor â creditations framed on the wall staying what a great restaurant this is together with a four and a half star rating !Your joking whoâs paying money to obtain this rating ! It should be removed forthwithNeedless to say - donât come to this place for dinner when in Srinagar - better off with street food

We Welcome Everyone with Folded Hands. Please come and enjoy our hospitality and food.We offer many delicacies and are the best vegetarian food provider in Kashmir Valley
Homely food , no fuss environment and addictive paranthas - value for money . Mornings are packed but worth the wait . The tea is wanting due to the readymix and does not necessarily mact the home-style traditional chai but Krishna is a preferred address for my stop . Irresistible !

Good Food at reasonable prices specially with most joints around selling at high prices .Location on the main street just near the entrance of the Pahalgam Hotel .We tried different times from South Indian , to Kashmiri and North Indian food and they did not disappoint .Highly recommended .
