Reviews on Asian food in Kaneohe, Hawaii, United States. Kāneʻohe is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and located in Hawaiʻi state District of Koʻolaupoko on the island of Oʻahu. In the Hawaiian language, kāne ʻohe means "bamboo man". According to an ancient Hawaiian story a local woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo; thus the place was named Kāneʻohe or "Bamboo man". The population was 34,597 at the 2010 census. Kāneʻohe is the largest of several communities along Kāneʻohe Bay and one of the two largest residential communities on the windward side of Oʻahu (the other is Kailua). The commercial center of the town is spread mostly along Kamehameha Highway.

We decided to try this place for lunch. We were pretty impressed for a casual Japanese restaurant. We liked the sushi the best. For the price, the fish was fresh and decent size. It's not sushi bar quality, but definitely better than Genki. We tried the spicy ahi, salmon and the spicy hamachi roll. All were very good. Our favorite casual sushi place is still Kazoku Sushi in Kapolei. But for Kaneohe, we'll definitely be back for the sushi. We also tried the gyoza. Pretty good. The soft shell crab was pretty good but a little too oily. We both liked the dipping sauce. Like a ponzu sauce. We also ordered a side order of shrimp and veggie tempura. It came with three small shrimp, two eggplant, two green beans and two carrots. The BF didn't mind it but I thought the tempura was too oily and the natter was so so. If you've had tempura in Japan, you probably won't want the tempura here. The restaurant itself is clean. Small. Cute decor. This restaurant is in a small shopping center near Safeway. Parking was plentiful and free but it was also a Monday. The service was great. Sushi came out really fast.
Adela's Country Eatery, in Kaneohe Hawaii, serves great local food from Hawaii farms.
When you think of Kaneohe, you think of beautiful beaches, warm tropical breezes and a laid back beach atmosphere. But in the center of it all is Adelaâs Country Eatery. Established in April 2019, Adela has been creating fresh made noodles every morning. But if they run out of noodles... they close! So come early and order your favorite! Adela trained in Okinawa, Japan and the Philippines to perfect these dishes! Sheâs always testing different types of noodles and ingredients, so come by often to try them all out!The best has got to be the marunggay and the Ube noodles. The bread fruit noodles is also worth the wait! All the dishes are fresh cooked in the back of the open kitchen! Check this place out and say hi to Millie in the front!

We were a little apprehensive when we approached the restaurant as there was no one else in it during prime dinner time. What we discovered is that this restaurant does a huge takeout business and there must have been 15 people in and out during the hour we were there. We brought our own wine and enjoyed the best Pho we have had in years! We got off to a good start with the shrimp spring rolls in rice paper. We split the Pho and also an order of grilled shrimp with jasmine rice. Very reasonably priced and delicious.

We like to stay in Kaneohe for many reasons, but mostly because it's not Waikiki and it's close to Kailua Beach and Awainui Marsh. A long-time friend of ours who lived in Kaneohe said we'd probably enjoy the food at Kim Chee. Unlike other restaurants that come and go, Kim Chee has been serving the people of Kaneohe for over 20 years. The food is basic Korean food, nothing fancy but very well cooked and tasty, for a reasonable price. We ordered BBQ'd beef and Vegetable Tempura, each accompanied by a generous scoop of white rice and pickled Korean vegetables. The beef was well seasoned and grilled just right. The vegetable tempura was crispy and filled with a variety of vegetables, accompanied by a light dipping sauce. We are looking forward to returning to Kim Chee.

Outstanding local Japanese cuisine in a very comfortable and local setting. Service is always expeditious and courteous. I especially like the fact that I can dress comfortably in local shorts and t-shirt and not feel out of place. The food is always delicious and tasty. The teishoku dinner specials provide a complete filling meal even for the most ravenous!Prices are moderate and range from $10 to just over $20 for teishoku and dinner specials.Good service, good food, at a reasonable price, in a comfortable setting. Excellent!

Atmosphere - Cool music, most definitely suited for a younger crowd. I often see a lot of young high school/college kids hanging here on the weekends. I like the "hot pot" cooking style and they change out the plates multiple times for you.Service - Very good. Such friendly staff and they made the experience very enjoyable.Price - Very affordable (But be prepared that you get what you pay for in quality). They have an "All you can eat" option for $23.95 on the menu, which is probably the best deal you'll find anywhere. I would recommend coming here in a larger group because my husband and I could barely finish our first portions. Quality of food - I doubt I will return unless the quality of the food (Specifically the red meats) improves. The pre-seasoned beef was much better than the other options. I found it very difficult to eat the food with chop sticks (All that I saw on the table, however I didn't ask for other utensils). Meat was very chewy and they supplied us with scissors to cut the meat with...Atmosphere - Very unique. I love that the water is served in recycled bottles. The vibe of this place is different but friendly. I definitely enjoyed the surroundings.

Come enjoy authentic Thai cuisine as we offer only fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce in our dishes. Let Chef Guy offer you unique flavors from our "Thai With A Twist" menu for an unforgettable experience. Remember to save room for their memora
We've been eating here since the time that Mama Toy ran the restaurant and loved the traditional Thai food. Since she retired, the new management has been offering nouveau Thai selections like sashimi-grade Salmon and lamb with Thai-influenced sauces. They have many specials displayed and they all look delicious, but, we usually come for basic Thai food. On several occasions, they served us complementary soup and they are outstanding! Last time, it was a creamy wild mushroom soup with a touch of coconut. Tonight, it was a pureed wintermelon soup with a hint of smoke. Delicious! We ordered Thai beef salad, calamari with green papaya salad, mahimahi with red curry, spicy chicken with basil and bamboo shoots, pad Thai and sticky rice. That came out to $90 for the three of us. It was good, basic Thai food made for western palates. The atmosphere is nice and the service was very good. Bring your own booze---Foodland is around the corner if you forget. Wish list: Offer a daily soup special and just 1 main dish and appetizer special instead of the current plethora of nouveau dishes and adjust the prices of the basic menu. That way, they can market the nouveau dishes to the upscalers. The rest of us old-timers just want good 'ol Thai food! Plus the amazing soups!

My husband and I stopped in after snorkeling for a late lunch/early dinner. Happy Hour prices in effect, we had an amazing meal at a really fair price. As visitors to Hawaii, this was a welcome surprise. If youâre willing to take a chance on something new, Gyu-kaku is highly recommended!

Kin Wah! Always great tasting Chinese food! Ordered to go, Oxtail soup/stew an War Won Ton Mein with Veggies. No added MSG. No problem. The best Oxtail, bar none. Not as greasy as other places. Hubby loved WTM. Great service too! Thanks KW!

I live nearby and when I am in the mood for Chinese food I always choose Pah Ke. They are fast, veggies are fresh and every item is tasty. I donât eat meat and they are careful to not use any animal broths or sauces in my food and can still make it tasty. Iâve had Chinese at other places that when you ask for no broths, the food comes out steamed in just water with no seasoning. This place is a great family restaurant where you are greeted with a friendly smile and aloha all the way through.
