Reviews on Asian food in Ithaca, New York, United States. "Ithaca is gorges" can be read on proud t-shirts across New York State, and there is definitely truth in advertising. Sitting on the shores of Cayuga Lake, the largest of the Finger Lakes, the hilly town of Ithaca is surrounded by dense forests, towering waterfalls, and many gorges. The natural beauty has a distinctly academic feel, as local universities have filled the woods with museums and education centers like The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, which features a 220 acre wildlife sanctuary.

I have dined at Hai Hong 100s of times (truly) and will be back there very soon again. So many excellent dishes, and dim sum, too. Along w/ a (small), well chosen & well-priced wine list (this last aspect of the resto too many other restos can't seem to manage). Where do i start?: crispy duck, roast duck, pork leek dumplings, congee, steamed chicken, "baked steak," Mandarin pan-fried noodles, the best version of Kung Pao chicken I've ever had, various chow funs...

This is a combined Japanese and Korean cuisine owned by a Korean. Prices are reasonable and serving sizes are generous, particularly if you order one of the Ramen entrees. The servings are huge and filled with wonderful broth, noodles, and lots of fresh veggies.Service can be slow as they only seem to hire one server for the whole restaurant and parking can be difficult - street only - during the daylight.

Great dinner last night with my son. We started off with friend shrimp tempura sushi. It was delicious. Best eel sauce I have ever tasted. The chef who did our hibachi was really fun. I ordered shrimp and it was perfectly cooked. My son had a combination of steak and chicken. He ate it all!! We would definitely visit again. Very beautiful restaurant. Love the tile everywhere.

Well once again dined at the Thai Basil, street parking, made reservations, upon entry greeted and seated. Alcohol served, friendly staff, small restaurant, order taken but a small delay on orders but again well worth the wait. Again a excellent meal, ample servings and all served with a smile. Again a Thai experience with several Thai meals too choose from on their menu. Since we enjoy spicy food our meals fit our taste buds to a T....many returns will be made. Have dined there now three times and have always have had a great meal and experience. A wonderful dining experience!

Taste of Thai was founded in 2001, and has gone on to win multiple awards for our food and service. Our strap line is âWe cook as we eatâ meaning simply that we cook authentic Thai cuisine the way we love to cook and eat in Thailand. Many of our ingredien
The food was above average for reasonable prices, with very good soup ($11 for a pot) and stir-fry dishes (for $13-16). Prices (with smaller portions) are less expensive at lunchtime (at about $8 a dish, with a small complimentary side salad). The Thai Iced Coffee (about $3) was good, but had too much ice.Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this restaurant has gone downhill dramatically, with sticky tables upstairs and a smelly, dirty bathroom down a flight of stairs.

First time here although I've passed by many many times. The outside is drab and uninviting. The inside is very nice. Fast service. Good Japanese sushi rolls. The fresh seafood Korean pancake (Heamul Pajun) was outstanding! We'll be back again and again.

This restaurant, though small, is the best Asian restaurant in Ithaca for the money. It features Thai food, has lovely decor, and a pleasant staff. My husband and I have eaten here several times; we have taken family members and guests here; I have grabbed takeouts when I was in a hurry. Once I even took a casserole dish and asked them to fill it for a covered dish dinner! The food is delicious without extensive wait time. However, if you want to be sure to get a seat at your desired time, make a reservation. In this college town, it can be filled quickly.

Everthing was fine until we viewed our silerware! Disgusting to say the least. Waitrss apologized =but we were dumbfonded. A favorite place to dine, no more. Like other reviewers say, sometimes the best, other times the worse. This time the worse due to unclean silverware. Must be the diswasher didn't work????

Mia restaurant features fine cuisine from many Asian countries in a unique and beautiful atmosphere. At Mia we offer an eclectic menu and when available we pride ourselves in using local produce, sustainably harvested seafood, and hormone & antibiotic fre
Loved every dish; party of 7, each ordered 3 items from the tapas side of menu and shared - family style. Amazed with each presentation and taste. Dishes that normally would not appeal to me were mouth watering delicious. Weekday, early dinner, so quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The service was very good. A couple of individual desserts were order and praised. Definitely returning.

I have lived in Ithaca for 4+ yrs now and somehow only managed to try this place recently. It is by far the best Asia restaurant in Ithaca with wonderful Vietnamese dishes but also other choices like classic Chinese soups and rice dishes and stir fries. The service is good and everything we tried on the menu including the drinks was simply outstanding. It is now are fav place to go in the Ithaca area.
