This place checked all of our boxes. WE enjoyed the entire experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. The sushi we had was well done. We ordered a Carolina roll. It was unique to the restaurant and tasty. They also had an item we had wanted to try for some time. They offer a Peking Duck entrée. WE shared it and enjoyed it. The Kirin is cold. Overall we were very happy with the entire dining experience. WE would definitely go back.

Visited around 2:30pm on a Saturday. Still quite a few customers inside. Most seemed to be enjoying sushi dishes. We ordered chicken hibachi with mixed vegetables. Very large plate of food. I was stuffed! It tasted fresh and had a nice mix of veggies as well as freshly grilled chicken served over rice with a white sauce on the side. The waitress did a good job checking on us and topping off our drinks. The decor looked fresh and clean with pleasing colors and patterns.

Using that hanging duck from Tacoma Washington, I was pleasantly surprised to find one in Hickory North Carolina off the beaten path. My girlfriend states with the best larb she ever had. Shredded chicken instead of ground, fresh bird peppers and she would know as she imports and exports Chili Peppers. Great Frozen bubble cheats. I had me hanging Peking duck, which is very very good. The menu will not extensive actually hits all the main spots. Fresh spring rolls a custom-made, and are excellent. Traveling 2 hours, is not a problem when you find a hidden gem like this

I know, I know, the service is slow, but for me, it's worth the wait. Their red curry is always flavorful and the duck is crispy and perfectly prepared. Their Mee Ped is also a good choice if you like a little (but not too much) heat. If you're not in the mood for spicy, their Pad Thai is a great choice. For me it's hard to go wrong here.

This place is located right in the heart of downtown Hickory. It has a great location. It is located in a brick building that houses several businesses. There is plenty of free parking downtown so parking is not an issue. The interior of this restaurant is no where near as nice as the exterior. It looks like your typical walk up and order Chinese establishment. You order at the counter and wait for your food. They were nice to deliver the food to our tables instead of making us wait at the counter to deliver the food. They also refilled our drinks in spite of not having a server assigned to our table. Overall we felt the service was very good for this kind of a set up. Our food was served on Styrofoam plates. WE had the sweet and sour chicken served with rice and won tons and the Hot and Spicy chicken and shrimp with veggies served with rice and an egg roll. Both meals were under $7. Good value for sure. We felt both meals were pretty average however. Nothing special except the price. This would be an okay place to grab a cheap meal. It has an inviting exterior, friendly accommodating service but pretty average eats. We might try it again ordering different items.

The service was very good and the staff quite friendly. The noodles my wife had were good, but we've had better. I ordered my dish with #2 heat and it was rather bland; and my rice was tasteless. Simply put, we've enjoyed better Thai restaurants, but this seems to be the only one in Hickory, and it could be much worse.

What a great selection. I took our senior citizen group to this restaurant. We arrived at 12:30 pm (lunch rust hour), they were kind and attentive, and prepared a place in a private dinning area to accommodate us. Everyone agreed that they enjoyed the food, and we all ate more than we probably should have. A special thanks to our server, Karen.

Excellent service, and our meals were out quickly. Had the wok fried rice, which was an enormous portion. Husband had the orange peel chicken and it was high quality chicken pieces that were fried and in a tasty sauce. Son had wok special with beef. Prices were reasonable and service was great.

About 7:30 on a Saturday night is when we were there. We had some spicy shrimp and basil chicken. I asked for some hot sauce on the side and the basil chicken was cooked medium hot. We had some ice water and a glass of plum wine. Our food was great. The shrimp was tender and not over cooked like in some places. Our basil chicken was very tasted. The staff was very helpful and the bathrooms was very clean. A lot of people was came in for take out while we were there also.

Everything we ordered was awesome! Fresh sashimi to die for! Creative sushi rolls filled with flavor. The setting is intimate with only a few tables. Reservations are suggested due to the size. A family run restaurant where excellent service and quality food are on offer!
